It is a shame. But i have to admit, that i started to use ACE from version 1.7 ...

Now i cant play without it.

Lastly you can unpack all of ACE and search for the class.

So, as I wrote earlier I've found

airfriction = -0.0005875;

but I can't reproduce .338 ballistic with this value.

.50 BMG has -0,000560! But actually it has more worst ballistic than .338 with -0.0005875.

PS Theoreticaly bullet should have initSpeed about ~1250 m/s and -0.000050 friction. But we have other values. It's very approximate calculations, just for example.

I have a couple of very noob questions about the ACE keys, I searched Dev-Heaven website and cannot find a solution :(

1) How can i turn up or down the m203 sight ? (shift+v ?? for me is not working)

2) What is "Panic sprint enable" key ??

This is the same version as RC1 released last Friday isn't it? I am asking because Six Updater is showing nothing new.

And thanks ACE Team, we appreciate such a great mod.

Same here. Just started using ACE 2 weeks ago..

Didn't know what the buzz was about until i tried it recently :yay:

Look forward to 1.8 now!

Truly gives ARMA 2 an almost cinematic atmosphere while making smart, realistic improvements..Amazing work! Keep it up guys :D

Yep, 1.8 Stable == 1.8 RC1.

A stable release is always an ongoing development release that has gone through release candidate testing.

Sometimes a hotfix has been applied (signed with same key) and usually as well distributed over six updater. Not the case this time though :)

Awesome! Just finished downloading and installing.

Quick question: With all the extra stuff like medkits, bandages, morphine are there any plans to add cantines, camelbaks or MREs? So our soldiers can hydrate & eat. I can imagine running around out in the desert they'd need to drink a lot of water and would probably get hungry.

I know you get fatigued if you run long distances…surely they need to hydrate too every once in awhile right?

…I wonder if there's an animation to "unhydrate" :p

We've got a little problem with 1.8.

I've just updated the server and now when a client connects the Server crashes with.

Cannot open file 'MPMissions\bla.pbo'

111/00/25, 20:43:34 Critical:Destroying running thread!

The Mission he can't open is always a other one from mpmissions directory.

Server is a Linux 1.57 Server.

The file permissions for the folder and the files are set correctly.

When I start the server without ACE 1.8 it works fine without any problem.

ACE v1.7 works fine too.

Does anyone have got a idear?

The UGAF auto-config link does not contain the latest version... Are you guys still uploading, was it the wrong link, or was it already up to date on friday?

If the mission is long enough for your soldier to get hungry, you should probably alt+F4 and go get yourself something to eat :)

Hey great update.

I have been out of the game for a while and was looking in the ACE store folder and cant seem to find the MPmissions.zp I see the missions.zip but no MP.

Have you stopped putting the MPmissions.zip in with ACE2 now if so where can I get the pack from.

I've played some CTI missions that ran on for 6hrs and real soldiers in the field may stay out there for several days. They would definitely need something to eat and drink during that time. It's just a thought to add even more realism.

Then again…most children now-a-days can't pay attention to a mission that runs for more than 30mins (if that). Curse this Call of Duty generation's short attention span.

Back on topic… Glad to have ACE2, adds a lot of realism to missions. Keep up the good work.

Missions are included in addons acex_missions.pbo etc, they are automatically available in the MP host, or dedicated server.

Just to be an ass, the mod is perfection, but the thread title has a typo :)

Now that is picky, seeing as I cant fault anything in the mod itself :)
