sanctuary 19 Posted November 30, 2010 I'll keep it PC or it would become too complicated for me to decide with older softs in the mix to keep a top25. Aces of the Deep Age of Empire 2 Conquest Frontier Wars Daggerfall Darklands Delta Force Doom Freespace 2 Ghost Recon Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Homeworld Jagged Alliance 2 Master of Magic Master of Orion Master of Orion 2 Mount&Blade : Warband Operation Flashpoint Orbiter Red Storm Rising Rogue Spear SWAT 3 Thief 2 : The Metal Age Unreal Tournament winSP:MBT X-COM:UFO Defense I believe i should give a special mention to emulators, all of them, while technically not games, that kind of software has entertained me for a decade. Papissama 10 Posted December 1, 2010 You guys should rank your fav games on the site to influence the general list. And it is easier to make it there (just drag and drop 'em into your list).

Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted December 1, 2010 (edited) I know that most people here have pretty reliable tastes in games. So I am kind of anoyed to see products on their list I have never tried. Especially considering that I have tons of games in my shelf that always had a good rating but never fascinated me. While screening through it I came to the conclusion that I actually wasted more than 500 Euros on games I never realy enjoyed. Edited December 2, 2010 by Albert Schweitzer

myshaak 0 Posted December 2, 2010 Deus Ex 1 - becasue it's the best RPG FPS... ever. Operation Flashpoint: CWC - becasue I was more scared playing it than when I was playing F.E.A.R or Doom 3 TES: Morrowind - because Oblivion is nothing but it's handsome, but retarded brother Arma 2 - as closest to war as I ever want to get :p Half-Life 1 - because HL2 was a little more than a tech demo for Havok, the atmosphere and fear from the first one was gone Fallout 2 - because Fallout 3 just wasn't as fun Red Alert 2 - because of the exact amount of CRAZY! Enemy Engaged: Comanche vs Hokum - not as hardocre as DCS, way more hardcore than any other chopper sim = win Duke Nukem 3D - Hail to the king, baby! X3: Terran Conflict - great space sim/strategy And a bonus: Postal 2 - Where else could you sever someone's head off with a shovel, light it on fire and kick it into the crowd of terrorrists, setting them all on fire? Also, wonderful humour. Wolfenstein 3D (+ Return to Castle Wolfenstein) - awesome game and awesome sequel Trespasser - ambitious project that was waaaaay ahead of it's time Dwarf Fortress - sooo addictive, must... play... now! Devil Dogs SF 13 Posted December 2, 2010 (edited) 1. Arma 2 Combined Operations (+BAF and PMC) - Longest lasting and probably the funnest game I've played 2. S.T.A.L.K.E.R games - Great story and amazing game play, love it 3. Halo games - I love the story, one of the best sci-fi stories 4. Fable games - Fun, and funny, even though it lacks in the RPG game play element. Great character customization and progression too 5. CoD 4: Modern Warfare - Great shooter, last great CoD 6. Assassins Creed games - Story is interesting and the conspiracy back story is too. Not too mention addictive game play 7. Aliens versus Predator: Gold Edition (1999) - Amazingly fun and scary shooter based on two greatest movies ever 8. Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind - Great example of a good RPG, addictive fun 9. Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion - Same as above, except it lacked in RPG elements and sort of became an FPS 10. Mass Effect- Amazing RPG, truly. Perfect story too 11. Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butchers Bay (+Assault on Dark Athena) - Good story and background for the movies and simply fun game play 12. Dead Space- Scary as hell with a nice story backing it 13. Half Life games - Well told story and near perfect game play 14. Far Cry 2 - Simply fun and hard to put down 15. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - Rather fun multiplayer for this Modern Warfare 2 age of games Edited December 2, 2010 by Devil Dogs SF
Papissama 10 Posted December 2, 2010 Today I've finally added 2 new decades ('70s and '80), current gen systems + many others, a lot of yearly tops. Why now? you might ask. Simply because I found a new way to display our lists in our profiles. It's not perfect yet but it sure is a lot more organized than before. It's finally starting to look like a gaming resume. Well, tell me what you guys think :D ---------- Post added at 12:06 AM ---------- Previous post was Yesterday at 11:04 PM ---------- Marcus 'AnnoyedGamer' Beer shared his Top 25 with us. CarlGustaffa 4 Posted December 3, 2010 Basing my list on how much time I've spent on the games. There are games out there that made my jaw drop, but if they can't (like most typical corridor shooters) hold my interest for more than a day - they're out. 1-5 is in strict order. 1. Frontier: Elite II. Unique with it's newtonian flight model, sheer size, and attention to realistic detail. There isn't much pretty graphics in this one, unlike other space games that make me sick to my stomach. Choose to land on a planet on the other side of the galaxy. I'm one of the few that actually hopes for some sequel by Mr. David Braben and company. 2. Daggerfall. Waking up in the cell, I could only hear the noises around me. The first (and last) time I've been actually scared by sounds alone (in this way, whizzing bullets is a different kind of scared), trying to figure out what to do. :) Massive land to explore. 3. Arma1. Not the campaign, but the beauty and tactical aspect of the island, which pretty much had everything. 4. MS Flightsim series. Mostly for its modding support, but left when everything had to be payware to count. 5. Oblivion. Prettier graphics than Daggerfall, but not even close to its size. Most time spent simply exploring. More normal (other than the stupid gates) world than Morrowind, which is why I prefer this one. 6-10 sort of in order, but hard to rate. 6. X-Com, UFO, Enemy Unknown. The original (Amiga version for me). Many many replays that never grew old. 7. Arma2/OA. Probably ending up with most time spent on, but not all on actual playtime. 8. Civilization series, excluding Civ5 which jumped on the DLC wagon. 9. Morrowind. Very unique world, maybe a bit too unique, which is why Daggerfall and Oblivion is higher. 10. GTA San Andreas. Never did like GTA 4 and I dropped out before it became playable. 11 - is more like honorable mentions, not really ordered. 11. Operation Flashpoint, only with a hefty bit of addons, although campaigns were great. 12. Fallout 3, haven't played the other ones. 13. Bards Tale series (on the C64. Many hours spent on mapping here, lol). 14. Monkey Island series. It drops low due to lack of replayability (which would be near impossible to get interesting). 15. Day of the tentactle. Hehe. Enough said. You must have played it to know what it is. 16. The longest journey. The only adventure game not based on humor, that I actually liked. 17. HalfLife 1 and 2. Although I would have wanted more mystery to unfold and be more investigative and exploration based, I give them a plus for story telling. Graphics is nice too, but it's not what does it for me. 18. Unreal Tournament, of all things ;) Have to put it here as it took a lot of my time back in the day. Never attempted be be realistic, on the contrary, it gave colored suits to be able to spot faster. Fast gameplay was its trait. I never liked this sort of gameplay in realistic oriented games, which is why I dislike so much of what I see in Arma2/OA. Then again, I've also grown older and a lot slower since then :D 19. Colonization (and similar games). Basically a spinoff of the Civilization genre, but have a lot of hours spent in these types of games. 20. Railroad Tycoon. Ding ding ding, hehe... @Richey79: Cannon Fodder? :D Ahh, the memories...
