What do you want to see in incoming patches?

I want to see PMC lite in good quality textures and some new free content.

Fix the speed of sound. Most muzzle blasts are playing instantly. Ruins the immersion of firefights and the thing that Arma does better than any other game, the feeling of being under fire.

Every minute spent tinkering with AI behavior in beta patches is a minute well spent.

Just to inform you (with a wiki quote)

A patch is a piece of software designed to fix problems with, or update a computer program or its supporting data. This includes fixing security vulnerabilities and other bugs, and improving the useability or performance. Though meant to fix problems, poorly designed patches can sometimes introduce new problems
and another
Generally, this type of source upgrade focus on bug and error fixing, not on adding new features to the engine.

Why don't you buy the PMC DLC's (8,99 EUR) on sprocketidea or both DLC's as bundle BAF+PMC (13,49 EUR) ?

I haven't gotten to try the latest update but the enemies skipping as your viewing them with a scope drives me nuts. That needs fixed if it isn't already. More optimized engine, I have an Intel 920 OC'd to 3.6ghz, with 6GB Ram, SLI 285 OC2 cards and I still lag and have to have settings low. With the CPU at its default of 2.66ghz, its not enough and lags. The tanks go so slow in the sand, this isn't life like! MHQ goes about the fastest! That may have been fixed as well, haven't tried the latest patch yet. But those are/where my biggest issues!!

Faster respons of your ai teammates. They don't hide and even in patch 1.55 just stand still when under fire.

The medic is way to slow also when there is no enemy in seight.

Enemy ai is not hiding either when under fire.

Like to see more of this in the new patch.

And why isn't there a simple way to give a module restrictions for his functies. Animals and vehicles keep spawning in bases and airstrikes are always or you need again a massive script. Why don't make it easer for the regular player and give the function airstrike true, false or 1,2,3,4,5 etc

All I want to see in a coming patch is upgraded original "ArmA II" content in merged "combined operations" installs to "OA" standard.

me too...Im used to the days when Internet was/is slow and HDDs liked to crash.

I pay for a solid CD or DVD but not for data on my fragile Harddrive.

In fact I still refuse to buy downloads or do any cash transfer via Internet.

I will wait for 3 DLC's and then they (should) release a DVD/CD where will be all DLC's.

Note: Thanks BI for doing bigger quality in BAF Lite! :D finally it looks like a uniform :D

@celery woow why do you checking that arma 2 needs fixes and all stuff and then you checked that arma ii won't need any updates? what reason?

What do you mean?

He means that if you did indeed check them all *cough*, you would be contradictory as the last options states no need for further patching.

Naturally I didn't check the option that denounces the rest. Claiming to have checked them all is contradictory only out of context.

New content of course (SAS in BAF would be great), critical bug fixes, and a bit more optimization in the engine, mainly when in large towns.

As of Now with 1.55 OA and 1.08 A2

I would like to see primary focus on

Level of Detail improvements/ redesigns/reconfigurations so there is less prevelant "pop in" phenomina.

further optimization of building LODs and streaming

missing blood textures on certain units/factions

vehicle handling improvements should as the speed of the vehicles on grass, and small slopes

rediculous AI vision, engaging range, their accuracy values even when manually turned down by the player they're rediculously accurate.

and added in an update I think it would be nice if BIS released New Muzzle flashes for each weapon type, some of them are good and most of them are absolutely horrible.

LOD has been bad since the beggining.

I really agree with this. It seems silly to pay for new units when the ones we have aren't even finished. I justify paying for DLC as it supports engine improvements, but please, finish the stupid broken stuff as well.

Definitely bug fixes.

Shoulder patches and vehicle decals for more units ( miss that a great deal in MP play ).

Better flight physics.

Support for PhysX-like software, DirectX 10+ (yeah I dream big).

What I want to see most in incoming patches is default campaigns and missions beeing properly re-played and tested both in multiplayer cooperative and in singleplayer. If people go to a store to buy a game and patch it. They expect it to work at least in singleplayer content, if new patches just bring new bugs to this content, the game series is doomed to have a bad reputation and considerabely less sales it could achive when players tell other players "I can tell ArmA 2 has been properly fixed now, go ahead and buy it."

Also I would like to have option for autosave delay in seconds and automatic backup file function for autosaves. (I want what?! Well better see my post: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=110150)

The point of a DLC is for it to be downloaded via the internet, there's nothing wrong with that or dangerous about that, its alot easier actually. That's why DLC will never be on disc.

But who's to say BIS wont decide that once they are done with all the DLCs to bundle them up, put them on disc and sell for $60.

I'd like to see A2 upgraded to OA standard, Desert USMC and Woodland US Army plus Challanger 2 for BAF.

There are a lot of bugs and issues from the times of ArmA2 release which are unsolved. So, I'd like to get fixes at first and various 'improvements' and 'optimisations' which sometimes cause more bugs again.

I agree. And I just get angry when I see other people who posting "I completed mission Manhattan (for example) and I didn't experience any bugs".

Well did they complete it with Expert difficulty where you need to spend much longer time in same map because game is harder?

Or did they complete it with singleplayer where less bugs happen or with multiplayer cooperative where bugs are appearing more often?

Or did they even complete all tasks in that mission they are talking about? It is much easier and faster to complete something by ignoring optional tasks.

Or are they just one of those people who don't really identify bug when they see it?

Sorry for ranting and if I offend someone, but I just want to make clear, this game doesn't deserve any better reputation before much more things are fixed without breaking as many old things same time then old ones are fixed.
