M109A6 Paladin by Soul_Assassin, NouberNou and rexehuk

Wow, I thought it looked great in the program but seeing it ingame and with all the weathering effects happening this is hands down one of the best vehicles I've seen in any game, sharp, crisp and clear texturing, excellent detailing and accuracy...

I just wish the bloom weren't so bloomy >.<

I'm POSITIVE that my dick just passed out seeing those gorgeous ingame shots. I was expecting something good but this is simply outstanding !

Keep it up !

Daw they sure have, imo the black rubber looks nicer, a bit of a nice breaker. Can't wait to see the woodland painted version, hope it has some nice dried mud around it.

Amazing!!! Wow...

But one question, is it smaller than Bradley in RL or is this just a optical illusion because of the picture?

I noticed it as well but I did double check with data I have and it seems right also human/hull comparisons look right. Since I cant find any actual photo's of a m109a6 next to a bradley, I cant truly say weither is supposed to be like that or perhaps BIS made it a little larger.

Say Soul, will you go for a M992A2 sometime later?

I dunno, it would require pretty major overhaul of the mesh. dont know if its worth it.

Have to agree, it might look nice in bases and scenery, but its actual use ingame would be very limited.

And looking at the outstanding quality of your work, all that effort just for a "scenery object"? Meh.

The M992A2

Field Artillery Ammunition Support Vehicle (FAASV)

Firing-position partner for the M109A6 Paladin and other M109 series self-propelled howitzers. It provides timely, efficient, armor-protected ammunition delivery to cannon artillery systems during both firing and non-firing conditions.

The Fire Direction Center Vehicle (FDCV) / Field Artillery Operations Center Vehicle (FAOCV)

Command and control partner for M109 series howitzers.

One would think that these are functions too important to call it just a 'scenery object'. :) Figureing out how to implement such functionality in ArmA would be the question here. But in the end it's the author's decision.

No matter how many functions it has in real life, as long as you dont implement them ingame it will just be that. And at the moment I dont see any of them happening, apart from the "reload" function.

And all that effort just for some kind of supply truck? Again: Meh.

The banned gentleman is right Topas. I think I will just make some kind of ammo crates that the crew can load into the vehicle.
