What are the most important sounds for you while using JSRS?

    • The weapon sounds!
    • The vehicle sounds!
    • Environmental sounds!
    • Explosions, Soniccracks, Bullethits, the sound of danger!
    • The script features like the "distance sounds"!
    • Everything combined! The whole Mod itself is important.

Now is much better with the patch1.1 note sounds such as explosions and striker error is solved. Thanks :yay:

If you gradually refine this modsound is the best so far for ARMA2 :bounce3:

Found very weird bug. Take DMR, shoot from it, and then.. all weapons now have DMR sound (only in single-shot mode).

And yea, this happens with 1.1 patch

Shoot the DMR... switch the weapon and wait 30 seconds for next shoot and than see if its the same or not. If you shooting an Gun, and the sounds of the gun has an echo like mine with sometime more than 15 or 20 seconds length, it could be, that the sound of the DMR is still in the over-loop wile you switch the gun and shoot again... the engine will than play the same sounds again that is in the over-loop until the sound was played to the end.. I hope I could explain this a little...^^

Yah, this patch should Fix the FFAR/Hydra error too! Has anyone tested the MRLS? How does this sounds like?

If you shooting an Gun, and the sounds of the gun has an echo like mine with sometime more than 15 or 20 seconds length, it could be, that the sound of the DMR is still in the over-loop wile you switch the gun and shoot again... the engine will than play the same sounds again that is in the over-loop until the sound was played to the end..

Well, anyway, this doesn't happen in 1.0 RC.

1. Thank you for updating this great sound mod!

2. The XM8 has still vanilla sounds for all the users with ACE I suppose.

I think this is because ACE has changed the CQB view for XM8, and thus it's quite possible that it is now another weapon. So it would be nice if you would release an ACE version of XM8 as you did already with the HK416 and HK417.

Nice update, in the patch is there to be an Environment pbo file? I dont have that file that fix the environment. In the JSRS-E folder its got jsrs-bullethits pbo, jsrs_explosions pbo and 4 jsrs_movement pbo files.

No, you replace all the files.

Drop everything in the proper folder and hit Move and Replace

The MLRS has default sounds

Number one on my wishlist is placeholder files for everything so that there aren't any BI sounds in the game.

I have a little problem when i connect on my mission i receive an error : JSRS_M230 impossible play-edit this mission depend on download contant has been deleted. But when i make my mission i do it with stock Arma2CO

Is it just myself or does the MK19 on the Humvee when fired not sound correct, It fires but the sound seems to cut off or something along those lines.

not at all

I dont have ACE. I tried it without ANY mods, even tried it without other JSRS sounds. Just weapon sounds and there is stock sound for XM8. If you have it Isola then good for you I guess.

Thanks Jarhead, these sounds are awesome.

Just one stupid question though, how can I tell if I am getting the vanilla XM8 sounds or yours, I am having a bit of trouble determining which one I am using.

Also, don't know if it has been mentioned but are there any plans to do the Kord and KPVT (BTR-60) machine guns?
