LCpl Nelson posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
3d Marine Raider Battalion Realism Unit About The 3d MRB The 3d Marine Raider Battalion was founded on July 4th, 2016. Our unit prides itself in cohesion, professionalism, and realism while still being fun and always having a group of great people to play with. The 3d MRB is an ArmA 3 Realism Unit based off of the United States Marine Corps Special Operations Command (MARSOC), with supporting assets such as the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR). We have plenty of opportunities to fit anyone's wants in a unit. We have Critical Skills Operators, Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman (SARCs), Helicopter Pilots, JTACs, S-Shops, and more! We also support all Time Zones! whether you are EST, GMT, or anywhere else! Unit-Wide operations take place on Saturdays at 1500 EST or Sundays at 2000 EST. (Depending on your availability and team) Why Us? Because we represent a tactical environment. We develop ours and yours’ skill set to a honed point. We deploy in teams of 14, with one to two teams deployed at once, with additional supporting assets. This smaller size of force is by no means a diminishment of firepower. We utilize everything available to us in the modern age from joint strike fighters, ground-level fire support, and all manners of semi-autonomous drones to accomplish any task at hand. The 3d is one of biggest and most well known ArmA units to date, become a member of the elite. MOS's Available: - 0372 Critical Skills Operator (USMC) - HM-8403 SARC (USN) - 8002 Joint Terminal Attack Controller (USMC) - 153A Rotary Wing Aviator (US Army) How To Join The 3d Our unit operates off of our website and forums. You must be the age of 17 when applying, you also may not be in another modern day Arma 3 unit or organized clan while applying or a member of the 3d, No Exceptions. We hope to see you in the field with us soon, Raider! Always Faithful, Always Forward! This video was made by a member of the 3d, it showcases the life of a CSO. -LCpl N.Nelson 3d Marine Raider Bn-

Before I ask the question about BI having variants for the F/A-181, I must point out something that frustrate's me about the release of an naval fighter without BI providing a proper landing platform for the crafts. Don't get me wrong, I love that BI has spent time and energy developing the Black Wasp II and Sentinel II for the community. From the beginning BI has focused its energies on land warfare, but through the years a section of the community has asked for more naval assets to accommodate the land warfare experience. As of to date here is where we are for ArmA 3. For the NATO Navy/Marine Corps we have the F/A-181 Black Wasp II, Sentinel II UCAV, SDV, Special Operation Divers (SEALs, Force Recon), and the AMV-7 Marshal. While there are no support platform to lunch from or to recover to. Yes there are mods of an aircraft carriers and amphibious ships. While one comes from ArmA 2, the other is from the community. Still they are not up to standards for the ArmA 3 platform. Due to ArmA 3 being set in the 2030's, the Ford Class CVN should be the mainstay of aircraft carriers for the U.S. Hopefully there will be more naval assets in future productions, but as always that looks bleak if we are to use the past as a road map for this outlook. Now for the question. Will BI provide both single and two seat variants of the F/A-181? What do you guys think?

3rd Special Forces Operations (Veteran Community)
1stLt. Black posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
Here at 3rd Special Forces Operations, we take pride in the leadership of true Arma series Professionals. Professionalism is the core pillar of the foundation upon which we build this unit; Confidence drives the various aspects of our Brotherhood--we all want to be good, and we all want to be better than we were the week before. At the end of the day, ladies & gentlemen, what we the leadership are looking for is not perfection, but rather the desire to see oneself improve. What sets us apart from other military simulation units is that we focus on and master the basics of infantry-based combat tactics in realistic battlefield scenarios. We are not just leading a group of subordinates: we strive to lead one another as peers and uplift the unit together. To us, a team is not meant to be micro-managed, but instead, is meant to be provided a task and given the freedom to utilize the skill-sets and tools available to them to complete it in the most effective way possible. Our top priority is to accomplish the mission before us, and we will find the means to finish it no matter what it may take. If these basic principals are what you look for in a mil-sim unit, we would love to have you along for the ride. Cpt. J. Black What we want in a new join is the confidence and ready to be committed to a unit that puts hours of time so you can gain the experience you are looking for. We follow our rank structure, we have a solid event planning system, and most of all we have a full infrastructure ready to take on as many of you as possible. We are created and ran by veterans from many branches. It so happens that veterans understand the military very well and we were able to relate their experience to the arma 3rdsSFO community. Starting out as the 9th PARA ARMA III clan, the unit evolved into the 27th SM in the summer of 2014, when the foundations of the unit were laid and our evolution began. There is something for everyone, and the diversity of settings available is not only is a testing challenge, but also great fun. The unit is formed upon a structured chain of command, where orders are expected to be followed. However, suggestions and advice are always welcomed from any member, regardless of rank, and all members are actively encouraged to contribute wherever possible to the improvement and advancement of the unit. The unit has devoted mission development, training, server administration and technical support groups. These groups not only take part in operations on our servers, but also support our members and recruits to ensure that they get the best possible experience whilst serving with us.
