Recommended Posts

Finally after lot's of hard work I, Richard Thorne (a.k.a Th0rn3) and everyone else who has worked on this project would like to present to you the completed MiG -15 by (Bdfy & Volkstrum)!

History of the MiG - 15

The MiG-15 (Mikoyan-Gurevich-15) is a jet fighter developed in the Soviet Union by Artem Mikoyan and Mikhail Gurevich in 1947. The MiG-15 was one of the first successful swept-wing jet fighters. It achieved fame in the skies over Korea, where early in the war, it outclassed all straight-winged enemy fighters in daylight. The MiG-15 also served as the starting point for development of the more advanced MiG-17 and is believed to have been one of the most widely produced jet aircraft ever made, with over 12,000 built. The MiG-15 is often compared with the North American F-86 Sabre.

great, much appreciated. In the future i do suggest using multiupload, it's really good cause it uploads to plenty of good hosters. I like mediafire, but options are good too

Thanks -Martin- and PROTOTYPE 001, it would have been a shame for for such an excellent addon not to be fully converted.

Eaglets is still my favourite campaign to date :P

Thanks a lot, good to see such a good addon not go to waste.

However I have some issues, for me the aircraft is just as it was before the conversion, it has no sounds (only weapon sounds) and it still uses the old pilot model from ArmA 1, aka it's not compatible to use as anything other than flying it yourself. I tried both of the downloads you provided (Martin's and Miller's).

hmm, maybe youve still got the old one installed in your add-ons folder, this has the same file name so check all your addon folders for supliactes. this addon has 5 variants, whears the arma 1 version has only 2. thats because this includes variants that sue some of arma 2s aircraft weapons like a version for AAMs on it.

@martin, thanks for the AAM version, its great to use, as is the fighter bomber. Are you planning to change the aircraft gun to a proper one for this aircraft? ie one that has a correct rate of fire and sound

Yeah that was the issue, I had the old files in the Arma 2 folder aswell as in the OA one, it works lovely now :]

The new handling and sound fits it so well, even though the loop of the sound can be heard quite easily.

All credit goes to original maker. I had fun learning about add-on configs from doing this. For those of us that have ACE an ACE config version will be out soon so you eject n stuff. I would like to still see some reskins as that is also something I am learning also so who knows what we will see later on. If any one makes any missions please PM them to me as I still have lots of fun flying this.

Thanks for letting me take a stab at this. Now onto the next one.

Well, the good news it that I managed to obtain the MLOD, so now I'm working on a Takistani texture, there will also be a Chernarus texture, maybe Czechoslovak/Polish too.

Here is a WIP screenie:

This Taki's looking good so far, looking forward to the end result

maybe Czechoslovak/Polish too.

I have a Polish one already done, made 2 years ago for the personal use of the Arma1 version.

Looks very nice :yay: mmm since I'm making these other skins maybe you would like to add your polish Mig to ours so we can make like a big pack?

Thanks for the mirrors guys and be sure to check this thread because the final version will come out soon with Takistani, chernarus and so on... skins.

I'll be sure to use the arma 2 super shader for the final release.

So now, back to work on the mig-15

That was the general idea, although I did not write it (my bad)...

Why double the work if it is already done ;)

Expect a d/l link sometime soon in a PM
