    We know all about the changes. However, we haven't decided if we will alter the Units as we don't have any Virtus equipment in the pack, so it might be odd to give Units the L85a3 without the rest of the kit changes. Players will be able to do that themselves if required, especially if running the Virtus gear made by Mike Phoenix.

    @Charlie1210: I think the optic on it is supposed to be a version of the C79 / M145 MGO. The static weapon is an arma 2 port. It comes with the optic as part of the model. We intended to replace the whole weapon and tripod with a new one. Not sure what has happened to that. @anfo: Thanks for the feedback. I doubt we'll ever add an artillery computer to it. We don't like using it even for mortars! Not sure about the others. I'll pass the suggestions on.

    I did PM bolo861 following his comment for some clarification on what he was suggesting / i.e. what needed doing, but I am yet to get a reply. If you can provide an example, we can look at including the update. We are busy working on the BAF weapons at the moment, so it would be a good time to implement the magazine compatibility at least.
  10. For wheeled vehicles, you can simplify it a little if you want to. You don't need to define individual 'axis' for each wheel unless you wanted the four wheels on a car (for example) to move up and down to different levels or behave differently. You can use a single axis across all wheels (if you are porting arma 2 vehicles, you can use the 'Basic_Damper_Destruct' memory points already in the model). I usually rename this to 'damper_axis' and use it for all four wheels. I keep the offset 0 and 1 the same for all wheels. It means you can set up one wheel and largely inherit from it for the other 3 in the model.cfg. It also ensures that your axis memory points are the same across all four wheels and of the same size / position. It might help cut down on any visual SP / MP issues. In your example above, this would become: class wheel_1_1_damper { type="translation"; source="damper"; selection="wheel_1_1_damper_land"; axis="damper_axis"; animPeriod = 0; minValue=0; maxValue=1; memory=true; offset0=-0.15; offset1=0.15; }; and for each additional wheel you can inherit almost all of it, i.e. : class wheel_1_2_damper : wheel_1_1_damper { selection="wheel_1_2_damper_land"; }; Keeps it simple.

    It largely depends on the mission. Most of the time we are using it as a section weapon, carried by the gpmg gunner. However, for weapon teams or in missions where we dig in and defend, it can be deployed with the tripod. The system allows the gpmg gunner to mount his own section weapon on a tripod carried by an assistant (it will change into the static variant) and then adjust the height of the tripod to see over any defensive trench of low wall. If you are defending an area, and have access to ammo crates etc... you can have a two-man team constantly reloading the gun to keep up a steady rate of fire. Plus in the static setup, you get the optic.

    I won't confirm deadlines. However, we can likely release soon after the signature issues are resolved. We are waiting for the BI hotfix to see if it resolves the situation. If it does - great. If not, we'd have to fix that before releasing anything new.

    The issue is caused by the latest arma 3 update affecting a number of mods. We are waiting for BI to hotfix. Once their hotfix is out, if our issue is not resolved, we will look into it. There is not much point in us troubleshooting yet if BI's next hotfix resolves the issue. This problem has been mentioned in a number of mod threads and elsewhere.
  14. It's certainly sounds like a local issue from what you describe. The fact that it occurs when another player becomes the driver and essentially takes ownership of the vehicle speaks towards that possibility. It is usually very noticeable on tracked vehicles such as tanks and apcs as locally to the driver the tracks appear to run over the surface of the map, whereas to another player on the server, the tracks tend to be below the ground and the vehicle is running on its wheels. I don't believe there is anything that can be done to resolve the track issues. In this wheeled instance, I am not sure why they would be moving up. Wheeled vehicles are normally okay. I would be checking things like your bounding memory points, land contact points, sprungmass, springstrength, MaxCompression and MaxDroop (making sure they match the damper min and max values in the model.cfg but without any - sign).

    BAF : L85A3 RIS

    Congrats on the release. 🙂 We are currently working on our own version using a new model. However, it will just be the standard rifle with attachable / removable front grips. We don't currently have any plans to create a UGL variant as I don't believe it has yet been adopted by the British Army. Although that will probably change at some point. At the moment though they are still using the L85A2 with the UGL.

    Sorry, no. RHS Dev version is constantly changing as, as the name suggests, it is still under development. I am only going to use the release version of RHS as a dependency otherwise it means constantly having to update as and when RHS make changes to their Dev build.

    The SVD in the 3CB Faction pack should simply be a wooden reskin of their original weapon. It inherits all the rest from the RHS SVD - sounds etc...

    As bolo861 says, I don't understand how splitting it out would reduce the amount of mods you use? You would still be using 3CB Factions with or without the Cold War additions. If you are talking about size of the mods, rather than the amount, you can remove the Cold War .pbos as the pack is modular.

    Regarding the mirrors, they should have the default BI mirror.rvmat applied to them. It should provide the basic Altis reflection in the exterior LODs to reduce performance impact, whereas in the internal LODs, you get the actual mirror image. I'll take another look though. As for the MaxxPro, I haven't actually changed anything to do with the weapon since release. If it is broken, then it has likely been broken since the initial release and hasn't been reported. I'll have a look at it as well. Finally, it likely isn't an issue to add the MTVR to the Marines as well.
