I personally think the sonic cracks have too much of a whizzing noise, it sounds almost like rounds ricocheting. Maybe more of a woosh? -

That's because of terrain quality settings. If playing on a server, they will be forced to whatever the server uses. Seems like the server you play on doesn't have it set to the highest setting. -

I think there's a bit too much of the metallic effect, it almost overpowers the gun itself. Furthermore, the M4A1 and AK74 from RHS don't have reload sounds, and there are probably more, and many RHS guns also don't seem to have any sound reflections/echo/reverb. -

Has T-pattern been suggested yet? I know it was only experimental, but it would add a nicely unique urban camouflage pattern, that was actually used on BDUs. Also, wouldn't highland ERDL basically be the same as the woodland that's already in the mod?- 333 replies

My saturation isn't the point, the point is that the texture is different. Why is a mod meant to improve distant terrain textures also fiddling with those close up?

It is really noticeable with the arid grass texture, as you can see in the spoilered screenshots. Sand and such looks like it's made of cheeto dust at points as well.

As nice as this is, I've noticed the detailed textures you get when terrain is within ~20 meters are also changed. Is this supposed to happen?

I absolutely love the quality on your uniforms, and I can't wait to see the rest of the gear, so to see you've already done some work on the helmets makes me super excited! Small note though, are the uniforms supposed to have so little inventory space? I understand the vanilla uniforms might seem a bit too roomy, but the BDUs have so little inventory space, with ACE I can barely carry a few morphine sticks in them! It would be nice they had a bit more space, if that's okay with you.- 333 replies

I think you made the footsteps too quiet, just walking and running around and the jostling of my gear is the only thing I hear. Only when I sprint can I actually hear the footsteps, and even then they're pretty quiet, with my gear being louder. The volume before you changed them was fine IMO. -

@Strike_NOR It looks a bit off, and the sound is way too high pressure I'd say. Needs to flare up and down and have some pops in it. Here's a good reference if you haven't seen it yet. -

If a gun has subsonic rounds you wont hear the cracking noise as they fly by you, it's part of arma itself. -

I agree with Strike_NOR, ACE2 cookoffs were amazing and legitimately scary at times. I bet the ACE soundmod helped a lot with that. That reminds me, will there ever be a ACE soundmod for Arma 3? -

Really well made truck, just bit of a shame there aren't flat colour paint schemes or a few generic camouflages so you can use it with factions that aren't AAF or IDAP. -

HE does use a much lower charge actually, simply due to its explosive nature. And yes they can be much heavier, but that isn't the sole contributing factor. If it were, I'd like to know just how bloody heavy a modern British HESH shell is for it to go almost 1000 m/s slower than a just as modern APFSDS shell. -

I've noticed that the distant firing sounds kick in rather early. I was looking at a guy close enough to recognize him by face and he sounded like he was 300 meters away when he fired his gun. Is that just me or a thing with JSRS? -

So I've been using your mod for a while, and it's pretty great, however I've noticed that on a certain terrain type it sounds like you're walking on a wooden floor instead of what looks like dirt. I don't know if it could have just been the map itself (Panthera), but I think it wouldn't hurt to check.
