Morts 0 Posted May 24, 2011 Alright mate! Was just wondering how you were getting on with the DPM units, if you need any reference phots i've got a few ready from a few weeks ago, obviously, you've got the clothes sorted out, but if you needed any help with the webbing pouches or boots, just give us a shout and i'll get them up for you. Cheers Morts

STALKERGB 6 Posted June 6, 2011 Alright mate! Was just wondering how you were getting on with the DPM units, if you need any reference phots i've got a few ready from a few weeks ago, obviously, you've got the clothes sorted out, but if you needed any help with the webbing pouches or boots, just give us a shout and i'll get them up for you. Cheers Morts Hey mate, yeah the units are kind of on the backburner but I am still working on them, currently there are about 4 or 5 models created (not that they are "finished" yet) but any reference photos of anything would be much appreciated :)

senp 10 Posted July 15, 2011 Hi One question: What's the classname of your L129A1? (Need that for editing-stuff). Can't find it myself. Thanks in advance
Enders 0 Posted July 15, 2011 It's "STKR_L129A1", using ammo classname "20Rnd_762x51_FNFAL".
senp 10 Posted July 15, 2011 Thanks mate! "STKR_L129A1"? I could have guessed that myself... ;-)
jedra 11 Posted July 31, 2011 (edited) Hi, Love these guys. The link for the server key is broken - does anyone have a copy of the bikey they can throw at me - dying to get them on my server but disabling key checking just causes too much trouble! On a similar note - does anyone also have a bikey for the UK Forces Weapons? Cheers! PLEASE IGNORE ---> I haven't had enough coffee - found the key behind the sofa.... STALKERGB 6 Posted August 25, 2011 Just a little update for everybody, I'm gonna start working on a new version of my 3 Rifles for ARMA3 and ARMA2 (depending on when I get round to it!) will be re-doing absolutely everything: Will re-work all the models, was never happy that they looked close enough to British Infantry. Will remake the MTP, gonna draw out the pattern from scratch and try and get a nice representation of it. Will sort out the config so that each unit has more authentic and accurate equipment. Anyways, was just a quick FYI.
someguywho 12 Posted August 25, 2011 Very nice. Looking forward to this one :D
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted August 25, 2011 Nice to hear Matt. Will you be basing the units around the new PCS uniform cut, or the CS95 cut of MTP that has been used on Herrick up until now?
STALKERGB 6 Posted August 26, 2011 (edited) Nice to hear Matt. Will you be basing the units around the new PCS uniform cut, or the CS95 cut of MTP that has been used on Herrick up until now? Well I'll be aiming to base the units on the new PCS cut although (maybe it's just me) I've had a bit of trouble finding too many reference images of it. Out of interest will UBACS be part of the new cut or is that staying the same for now? So far I've only seen the shirt and trousers in the newer cut. Edited August 26, 2011 by STALKERGB
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted August 26, 2011 I believe there is a PCS wicking shirt for the next Herrick rotation but I've not seen it yet. No doubt there will be a few pics come October-November time. I'd assume it's more or less the same as the current UBACS but with PCS-cut sleeve pockets, similar to how the MTP smock has UBACS pockets. All the blokes I've seen cutting about in the new uniform at work and elsewhere had the 'lightweight jacket' that's designed to be worn under body armour in temperate regions. It's got no pockets or buttons on the front (like the CS95 shirt had) so it doesn't poke into you when wearing body armour. Somebody put an alright-ish pic of the new trews, smock and shirt/jacket on MP.net (thumbnails):
STALKERGB 6 Posted August 26, 2011 Ah cheers for those pics da12th, should be helpful, mainly working on getting the angled pockets on the arms sorted, which as it turns out, is far more effort than I though it would be lol If I get round to sorting out the UBACS I'll do as you suggest an assume it's similar just with PCS sleeves/pockets. NomadRomeo 10 Posted September 11, 2011 Hey STALKERGB, will you add desert uniforms?
STALKERGB 6 Posted September 15, 2011 Maybe if I get time, although seeing as it's taking a back seat what with MTP in Afghanistan it's slightly lower down the list of things to do. Ideally I'd have both Desert and Temperate DPM versions but we'll have to see how much time I have.
DaveP 66 Posted September 15, 2011 Saw my first bloke walking around my locals (sandwiched between deepcut, sandhurst and aldershot here) in MTP, looks just like the cut pictured above Good to hear the progress so far!

mjolnir66 48 Posted November 29, 2011 I believe there is a PCS wicking shirt for the next Herrick rotation but I've not seen it yet. Somebody put an alright-ish pic of the new trews, smock and shirt/jacket on MP.net (thumbnails): It does have pockets on the shirt, they're velcro on either side of the rank slide. Its all velcro and zips, the velcro dies too quickly and its too hot to comfortably wear in british summer, let alone Afghan. Apparently the tour issue shirts are lighter and more breathable. Redders 15 Posted November 29, 2011 The new shirts are gash. The pockets on the forearms are completely useless and the velcro needs to be removed to roll them properly. As for the cut.......well we're tucking ours in, but that's just how we roll  As for the amount of Velcro on them...........ffffffffffuuuuuuu....... Matt, I've got a few close-ups of the shirt if you still need any for reference.
STALKERGB 6 Posted November 29, 2011 Matt, I've got a few close-ups of the shirt if you still need any for reference. Always up for some pictures of it so feel free to send them over buddy :) @rhaggan, unfortunately server logs mean very little to me, do the units load in the editor? The forearm pockets are for padded inserts like the UBACS has, aren't they? As for rolling the sleeves; it's not surprising that it's difficult, since the uniform was designed to be worn in the opposite way. :D I think rhaggan's alluding to the fact that the Army have been in a bit of a tizz about some RSMs and/or COs, ordering their blokes to wear it rolled up and tucked in (like CS95) when the Chief of the General Staff (the boss of the Army) ordered everybody to wear it in the way that the Defence Clothing Team determined was the most functional way to wear it; having spent lots of tax payer's money in the process. However, the RM have the right to take the opposite view and have done so (as has the RN I believe). So I guess you're stuck with a uniform that's 'faulty' through no real fault of the designers. I send Matt a link to the Rifles' dress regs. (that they are kind enough to publish publicly on their part of the Army's website); which contains the CGS's instructions to the whole Army. Redders 15 Posted November 29, 2011 If they're for padded inserts, nobody's told us mate. As usual! I'd heard all the fuss over on the Perce side about how it's supposed to be worn. Matt I'll get those phots to you later, not sure how much use they'll be though.
Higgings. 0 Posted November 30, 2011 As for rolling the sleeves. The Sergent Major tend to call them "hero sleeves" ;) But that aside, it is nice, the new pcs :)
