I didn't forget. Thing is that I didn't come around to release the updated units. :/

No worries man, I just swapped them (engineers) out for jungle camo US/RUS units from Arma2.

The new version of the map is great!

I was messing around with the A4 Skyhawk before and a bug (?) occurred. I was hit by an AA missile from an SU-25 and the plane basically spinned on itself ending with the tail in the front and the nose facing backwards.

I tried again and the bug seems to occur only when i'm flying straight, if i'm turning left or right when i'm hit the plane seems to keep the trajectory.

Is this a bug or it was made this way?

Also the zoom in the cockpit is kind of messy, i end up staring at the instruments rather than watching the HUD to shoot. Do you plan to fix this? :)

Not sure yet... I'm focusing more on A3 right now. I've been planning to release a fixed units addon, but there's a lot of unfinished work. Also, I usually bang my head on stuff that I didn't made and got donated by other community members (stated in readme, for example).

Runs well on my machine. The hardest thing with lingor now is were to fight, so many great locations!

So, any feedback on the new jungle island added to v1.5?

First of all, let me say that Lingor gave us in Comrades in Arms countless hours of fun. It's really refreshing to play in a jungle environment and since good makers made many missions for the island there is a lot to play with which is usually a problem is Arma.

However, and to be honest, I have to say we didn't welcome the 1.5 version. Not because the additions to the island are not beautiful, they are! The reason is that major updates to existing islands might break existing missions for the island, forcing the mission maker to edit, or sometime completely change his mission to make it compatible with the newer version. If the mission maker is nowhere to be found, you get stuck with a broken mission. And less missions means less fun on the island.

If memory serves, we encountered three broken missions thus far since the update. For example - extraction boats that suddenly are far away from the waterline due to a changed coastline.

I guess my suggestion is, that for future updates, try to bear in mind the existing missions factor.

Thanks you very much for all your great work!

yes, 1.5 is out - it just wasn't renamed in six so still said 1.4 - it was only when I clicked on it that the details said it was in fact v1.5.

I heard that some have tested porting across Lingor using All in Arma and it works.....so maybe not difficult to port?

Im playing a bit of GTA V too :) RokStar just knows how to make great games.

Yeah, I've heard about AiA, but I don't allow use of any my content in A3 (see the readme). I will release A3 stuff when the time is right (game bugs fixed, new tools arrive).

I know you don't but if someone decides to test for themselves on their own machine then nothing wrong with that. I know someone did a test and took a few ss of one of the other jungle maps and the pics look incredible!

I don't allow use of my A2 content in A3, how can that not be understood? If I steal a car and go for a spin I can tell cops I just made a test drive?

Simply, A2 content I've released (islands & units) remains in A2. I will also not allow use of any my work in Dayz SA.

Read my post again. No one released anything of yours in A3, they just ran a test on their own machine. If you take issue with them doing that, then you need to chill.

Don't be snarky to the guy who's invested considerable time and effort in making these islands for people so they can enjoy them. As he said, he doesn't allow use of any of his Arma 2 content in Arma 3.

Lightspeed_aust: don't worry, I'm chilling alright. Didn't you notice in the recent months? ;) anyway, these "various testings" certainly opened a can of worms.

I wouldn't mind people using my stuff freely, but recent events (mainly Dayz ppl earning money on other people's hard work, various life mods stealing content from the community and 3d modellers, 3rd party tools/debinarizers available to the content hackers while official tools are not available) made me rethink the whole situation. Not a single week goes by that I don't get a tip from someone that somebody is stealing my content or a fellow addonmaker's content.

So, to repeat myself: anyone using my stuff outside of A2 game will cause:

a) a legal action for the copyright infringement (I expresively don't allow any non-game use of the content nor anything to be used outside of Arma2 game by Bohemia Interactive)

b) I won't participate and release my upcoming projects to the community and rather keep them to my internal group of trusted players

c) all of the above

I quit my regular job 9 months ago, so I have a *lot of free time* to give to the community, but not if I am met with aggression, insults, ignorant behaviour and similiar actions (not talking about you Lightspeed_aust here, you are a extremely good guy also providing a lot of your own free time to the community!) while I provide the community with free content with certain rights attached (such as not allowing the content to be used for reverse engineering, stealing models, stealing various types of content, content to be used outside of game, content to be used for non-gaming purposes, people using content to get funds from players, etc.).

Now, lets wait for BI to release much needed tools and bugfixes, so the community can breathe once again and I can release some of my old stuff converted to new engine and also make few suprises with totally new content. Hopefully that will be at least by the end of this year =)

ok I'm happy with that and I will release the campaign once the transition to A3 occurs. :)

I hope all is ok without having job and not struggling financially.
