pravinrocks4u 10 Posted May 16, 2010 As of till now I've not completed the campaign Harvest Red, about to finish Dogs of War, I observed that non of the animals in the game are aggressive! I mean they don't attack player and team mates. I'd like to see more Aggressive animals like Tiger, Lion, Wild Dogs, Leopard etc which actually attack player. It would be fun to kill those animals. What you think?
Zipper5 74 Posted May 16, 2010 Tigers, lions and leopards in eastern Europe?
max power 21 Posted May 16, 2010 Even 'aggressive' animals aren't really that aggressive. Why not hunt the most dangerous game of all? :p
pravinrocks4u 10 Posted May 16, 2010 Tigers, lions and leopards in eastern Europe? :butbut:Ya this thought came in my mind..but there aren't anymore aggressive animals left then other than these..which else can you think of?
celery 8 Posted May 16, 2010 Uh, wolves, bears and boars anyone?
Flash Thunder 10 Posted May 16, 2010 Sharks and Bears would be cool, but this is very trivial The hunter mode would be more exciting though.
Herbal Influence 10 Posted May 16, 2010 Why not use this one?
pravinrocks4u 10 Posted May 16, 2010 Just imagine this..A Big Angry Elephant is approaching to kill you..you are finding a cover to get away from him..you find it then kill the Elephant with your missile or machine gun! Jour friend is dieing & a big Vulture is waiting to eat him..you have to finish that Vulture before you can heal your friend! You are going to a location by boat and you see a Shark's Tail popping up the water..he attacks you ..you kill him..he stays there ..its your choice! kill him or leave it.. Dead3yez 0 Posted May 16, 2010 Just imagine this. You are in the woods in Chernarus, you are hunting down the escaped velociraptors. You see one in the distance and you are about to shoot, in this moment you notice another velociraptor in the bush beside you which then jumps out and eats you. CarlGustaffa 4 Posted May 16, 2010 I'm with Max Power on this one. Animals are generally shy of human contact, even the "aggressive" ones. I wouldn't mind the snake addon that was recently released. You might get unlucky and get "stung", but not actively hunted. More wildlife, yes. Active hunters, no.
NeMeSiS 11 Posted May 16, 2010 (edited) Yes i would like to see the possibility of being attacked by animals, no, i would not want BI to spend any resources on it. EDIT: Velociraptors would be awesome though, i want BI to focus on those from now on. Edited May 16, 2010 by NeMeSiS
galzohar 31 Posted May 16, 2010 Bullet proof boars would definitely be scary. They sure are scary as hell when you're sitting in an ambush out in the field IRL.

Sounds really damn stupid actually. Remember to enjoy your broken missions too.
Master gamawa 0 Posted May 17, 2010 Isn't "Hunting Unlimited" free? Play that. You can hunt all sorts of animals. I kid I kid. But guard dogs that attack are pretty cool. It worked fine in COD. Let's get some vicious guard dogs in this. But no bears and boars. That's silly.
hund 0 Posted May 17, 2010 I'll vote yes if we can get killer chickens, sheep and rabbits! Seriously tho, I am not sure if I'd like this feature except for very specific missions, which puts it squarely in the scripting department (ie. don't make an addon out of it, make a script for your mission featuring it). celery 8 Posted May 17, 2010 But no bears and boars. That's silly. Boars are already in the game, but they are tamer than domestic pigs. IRL they can kill you.
Master gamawa 0 Posted May 17, 2010 Υeah I know. I am talking about aggressive bears and boars. That would be silly. Bears that actively roam the map to kill people.
dunedain 48 Posted May 17, 2010 I don't wanna kill innocent animals but evil talibans :)
Laqueesha 474 Posted May 17, 2010 Military-trained German Shepherd dogs used in search, guarding and attack roles? Certainly. :D Velociraptors and Tyrannosaurus rex dinosaurs? Maybe not. ;)
max power 21 Posted May 17, 2010 Uh, wolves, bears and boars anyone? Wolves are not aggressive, bears are not really that aggressive. Boars, I don't have any experience with. But if I can chase a 500 bear out of someone's back yard by yelling obscenities at it, I'm thinking it's not really a realistic candidate for an 'aggressive animal'. killswitch 19 Posted May 17, 2010 (edited) Wolves are not aggressive,...Usually, they aren't, but... *cough*Me, I want zombies :-) Edited May 17, 2010 by Killswitch
max power 21 Posted May 17, 2010 Usually, they aren't, but... *cough*Me, I want zombies :-) There are many more bear and cougar attacks than wolf attacks per year, I think. I'm not saying that they won't attack, but is creating an 'aggressive animal' mod when one in ten thousand animal - human encounters don't go swimmingly really realistic? And then to say that they would stick around and attack a soldier with a rifle... I mean, these animals, who are ostensibly trying to predate humans -and very large, male ones to boot-, would not really stick around after the first rifle discharge. Animals tend to try to stick to predate small people with high voices or children. There's a few mods who are tackling zombies out there!
Beagle 684 Posted May 17, 2010 (edited) Wolves are not aggressive, bears are not really that aggressive. Boars, I don't have any experience with. I met wild boars on a handfull of occassions, they did not show agressive behavior, they just were corious what I might be and came closer.I once met a couple of youth striped boars between young trees, going backwards with my 9x19mm ready...because female boars are know to be very agressive if they have cubs. I know at least two incidents of hunters from my area that did not survive contact with wounded boars in the last 10 years...one of them depleted a whole magazine of 9x17mm one boars head...with no instant effect. Until you shoot at them or they can run away, boars are by no means agressive to men. I wrote about these species that roams the whole of europe in very large numbers. no use for a name 0 Posted May 17, 2010 (edited) I guarantee when there's 8 guys running in the forest shooting rifles that there's not going to be ANY animals attacking. That's why hunting can be so challenging...they don't just come running out of the bushes right at you. 90% of the time they can smell/hear you well before you know they're even there and they take off in the other direction. If anything they should implement them running away in panic; not attacking. Edited May 17, 2010 by No Use For A Name
Beagle 684 Posted May 17, 2010 (edited) I guarantee when there's 8 guys running in the forest shooting rifles that there's not going to be ANY animals attacking. Why else would people hunt if it wasn't challenging? If anything they should implement them running away in panic; not attacking. The ingame wild animals like rabbits and boars already tend to run away from us. Roes and deers is all that I'm missing. Edited May 17, 2010 by Beagle
