hi all im real sorry to ask i have looked at the wiki etc but i still dont know how to do it i want to add this to my player in the editer

ACE_Earplugs and ACE_GlassesBlackSun

i put this in the player init sectoin

addweapon ACE_Earplugs but did not work?.

please understand i have no idea how to script etc

The ACE wounds system and BIF first aid modules are not designed to be used together.

Using both at the same time can cause problems and is not recommended.

When you say "first aid modules" do you mean all 3? Or just the First Aid module? Can we use the battle field clearance? I didn't know if ACE2 wound system allows you to drag and carry players.

allso the black glasses dont give a black tint to the screen like the yellow ones do

It's a beta, it's made for free, it's made to help them get the mod to release state.

If you don't want to help, then simply don't use the mod.

You aren't being answered because it's been answer 100 times before. Just use the "Search This Thread" function just below the page numbers. It's a shitty answer but after answering it all day many people moved on to answering other questions.

Im having trouble LOCKING ON to laser targets, and tanks. my friend lases a target and with Harrier on GBU-12 I cannot find the laser target... what is wrong. PLEASE someone reply..

All your questions have allready been answered, multiple times.

I'm pretty sure Sickboy is going to answer, again, anyway, in a friendly manner, despite the fact you just came here with derogatory comments about their "buggy software" they made for free....

I seriously don't know how he can put up with comments like that, and still answer kindly.

The lack of radio messages is done on purpose, you can change that in configuration files of ACE (I leave you do a little work to find them)

The update is easy, launch updater, press 2

Oh thanks mate. The one thing i missed... DL didnt work for me from the beta website when i tried to view the log. And ofcourse i forgot to check it when i got it down. Sorry for my daftness. :)

allrighty then i have copyed the text for the earplugs exactly (copy/paste) and still get no optoin to remove em ingame if they are fitted i hear no diff in sound what would be cool a slight muffled noise from the gun etc that would be very cool allso the optoin to remove as req.

allso the black sheds dont offer any diff in screen darkness.

im not knocking this mod its the best im just saying is all :)

I noticed

•Armor values of tanks converted to CAVS from ACE1 [King Homer]

... in the change list. Does this mean that the ballistics/penetration AT issues have been incorporated into ACE? Didn't see anything in the feature list about that.

Also, where can I find a list of all the ACE classnames? I looked around Dev-Heaven but honestly I can't find anything on that website :confused:

Thanks, all working now :) I wish those nukes had a little more blast radius though, seems like a lot of show for what it does.

The numbers on blast radius are based on very accurate calculations of overpressure values for those weapons. Radiation levels and time for fallout arrival also derived from real physics. All unclassified.

Is the SADM backpack nuke in this version? I can't find it anywhere.

No - I got sidetracked getting the ruck system up. After I get some more documentation done, especially the class lists, I'll get back to the nuclear weapons again.

Not many people have seen a tactical weapon - almost all the videos of above-ground tests are for much larger weapons. The look and damage effects scale a bit differently at these sizes. I do plan on continuing to improve the look, but keeping a good frame rate takes priority.

EMP - it may happen. But it's nasty to have all the GPS, radio, NVG, etc in an area all fry to a crisp - especially in a night mission. You sure you want that? :smiley-evil:

Good job, one lil request tho: Whats a .zipx extension and why not use a simple zip or something please, that file is really small (have total cmd and winrar, but cant open it)

NVM you can just rename it to *.zip and than extract the normal way. Thanks

Just rename the file "ACE Class Names.zipx" to "ACE Class Names.zip" and extract as normal zipped file - worked for me

-really good list by the way - contains almost all weapons

Na I tried that, but it gave me a un supported compression method. I tried it with 7zip and winrar.
