Is your DVD in the DVD drive?

Well? Mine is :) It's always alert, a constant state of readiness :D

Just curious to know how many people out there live with the DVD ready, it's like sleeping with a gun under your pillow except not quite as cool.

Hardly ever comes out, though I use the beta so it doesn't really matter... Hopefully they'll follow suit with their other games and remove the CD check one day.

Yes, that was a hint.

I've never needed it? Sprocket version for A1, and german downloadable for A2 and now running the Australian version, and I still don't need it? The no disc thing carried over to the AUS version I think? I just sorta mixed and matched lol.

Either way, works without disc :P, and its properly in English

I don't use DVD anymore.

God bless beta patches. :D

The question is, will we need DVD when 1.05 final is out?

I have had no reason to take it out. Built up my new comp, installed arma2 and left it in. Using betas but its still there, no other use for the dvd-rom..

No, I use the beta which doesn't need a dvd. This is especially nice because my Sony drive has problems with securom (and other DRM) softwares which results in Windows hanging at startup until I remove the dvd and problems with recognizing the dvd when inserted.

I was told not to leave discs sitting in the drive when not in use. Don't know why though.
