Just tried this mod for the 1st time - fantastic! They fly and handle really well. The CH46 is great to fly. Only thing I can say is the MH-53 sound is a little too scratchy but I imagine it will be fixed as things progress.

The USAFE special operations group used to fly their MH-53 Pave Lows down the field next to my house at insanely low altitudes. Very quiet for such a large helo. It would appear and disappear very quickly at 50 - 100ft! I read they have transitioned to the MV-22 and are now based elsewhere so it's a sight I will not see again. I think one of the MH-53s ended up at the Cosford Air Museum after seeing final service in Iraq.

I wish - it was stunning! It did not happen regularly, just a couple of times a year and I never had a camera with me or time to get one :mad:

There is a hill to the north and farm buildings and trees to the south. They would appear over the hill and then get lost from view behind the farm. They have a huge storage barn as big as a 747 hanger. So I only had only about 30 - 40 seconds. The MH-53 was always lower than the tops of the trees at the far side of the field.

The RAF still use the route with Apaches, Chinooks, Lynxes, Merlins and Pumas but never lower than 1000ft.

hey,

sorry for the abstinence, but was a bit busy.

i am working on improving and fixing the bugs on the helos.

right now i am working on the ch-53 and adding new features to it.

i will add an MH-53J version of it right after i finnish with the cockpit.

the pit is just a demo aint planing to go crazy and add every little switch.

if you have more suggestions i will happy to hear.

right now i know i need to fix:

*gear anim

*get out anim

Great job mate; that cockpit is looking really good. Beside that I´m glad we´re a few using Max :)

wanted to ask if anyone is even interested in a fully working cockpit?

i mean to have a startup and shut down procedure.

the activation works based on where the head of the pilot is.

the vid above shows that.

Are you saying you're going to add a Take On Helicopters style cockpit interaction? Now that would be amazing.

you can see it on the vid the activation of the fuel and the engine is done by looking at right pos of the instrument and then you can interact with it.

now if look elsewhere the option to interact with it will dissapper.

The progress you've made looks good; just wanted to ask you about the Sea Knights. How are they coming along?

after i am done with the stallions i will give the 46 an overhull also to match the 53 status.

And these choppers need to armed! Another suggestion is that the co-pilot seat is not a cargo position, but manned by a pilot by default. Looking forward to this! The CH46's even more :D

in both of the helos the copilot is a "pilot"(using a cargo pos) and not cargo pos.

about the arming i wil change the guns on both of the helos.

thats the beauty with arma almost everything is possible with coding.

for the next wip ill add :

radio control.

genarator switch.

lights control.

maybe rwr.

just to see how it goes along.

Never thought i'd see this pack get an update, but i'm very happy to see it : )

I have but one question. Will the ramps work properly now? As i remember you couldn't open them from outside and when you did get in it, they had a mind of their own, opening and closing against what i wanted :(

Good job SFC.ITZHAK! I´ve downloaded and tested them and I have a couple of suggestions.

- Textures and shaders on both choppers needs a bit more of work, specially in the CH-53.

The paint scheme of both helos should look the same, but by side by side the CH-53 looks more blueish and more metallic than the CH-46.

- A gunner (or two) in the CH-46 would be fantastic.

Anyway a great addon so keep it up mate :D
