CSM2 version: 1.04g is available via the Yoma Addon Sync repository.

As always, backup your existing version before you update!

The Auto config URL is:

Another incremental update:

M249 firing sound action less audible (bit less 'scratchy')

additional 2A42 single and burst firing sounds

additional M4A1 & M16A4 firing sounds

additional armour explosion and artillery sounds.

Chammy: the mortar sounds are pretty decent, though I do have some excellent captures that I might try and get in game at some point.

Maybe it should be like that, I heard because of the shorter barrel M4 makes bigger noise along with bigger muzzleflash.

Anyway I like very much the new singleshot sound of the M4.

where do you put the csm2_clientside_config.hpp file?

userconfig in your directory, if its not there just create a folder called userconfig mate.

When i try and join our verified server now i get and error with "csm2_s_wep_veh.pbo" not being signed or something therefore cant get on the server now while running CSM2..Does this mean u need to update the Key or something?

OrdeaL & MadMike.48th: yes thanks for letting me know, sorry about that. The previous upload didn't include the "csm2_s_wep_veh.pbo" file, .bisign was however updated.

The correct file is now available from the archive, no other changes so version number not incremented.

Chammy and Protegimus: excellent work! CSM2 has gone light years forward since my last test!

Great stuff, I am going to use it for tonite's training session! Wohoo the M2 sound is fairly addictive :)

How's the jet sounds in this pack? In HiFi, they are mind blowing, really sound realistic, how are they here?

Anyway, the M4 sample was taken from a Diemaco C8. Yes it's not an M4A1, but it's a bloody good recording and very similar. What I'm looking to do is portray an element of what it's like to shoot an assault rifle, something I tried back in version 1.03.02, but wasn't happy with the result in game.

The sample depicts the power and impact of firing the weapon really well and works with the ArmA 2 sound engine.

Perhaps Chammy will work his magic and blend the weapons more into the soundscape. Combined with the more correct character, immediacy and power of the small arms it should lead to an awesome CSM3.
