NZXSHADOWS 0 Posted May 1, 2010 On an offtopic note, how is Alabama? I used to live around Mobile/Grand Bay, and some family members are headed that way from SoCal to visit relatives we have down there. I heard there were some bad storms up north a few weeks ago. Its storming up again today. There was some decent amount of damage from last weekend storm, Everything in Cullman County is good though.:) i'm on your beta group ;) and if you make a beta for us it's a good idea =) Thinking on 22 May, that is the scheduled day to start testing an wrap everything up by June or thats what Im shooting for. But if things go wrong I will change it an notify the beta precipitants.

Darkhorse 1-6 16 Posted May 1, 2010 (edited) Cullman? Damn! I have visited there every couple of years. I had relatives up there, and pass through there on the way to meet family friends up North in Decatur. Edited May 1, 2010 by Darkhorse 1-

NZXSHADOWS 0 Posted May 2, 2010 Here is an example of the M1151 M2 Version in Desert. Its like 15 different trucks. Theres still are MK19, M240 version's, So thats like what 45 different trucks to choose from in desert camo. Might throw in more on down the road.
jay316 0 Posted May 2, 2010 (edited) They look incredible, phenomenal, bloody fantastic !! Edited May 2, 2010 by jay316
topas 1 Posted May 2, 2010 Great! I'm personally very pleased to see such variety; especially that this particular frag5 version is one of my favorite ones ;) i hate to ask; but since you're at it would you consider adding AC units on the back?
(st6)predator 0 Posted May 2, 2010 They look great! No! They dont look great !!!....No,no ! They look incredible, phenomenal, bloody fantastic !! @ NZXSHADOWS Please release Them as soon as you can !! Finally I have a small request or suggestion : Would you please call the Faction "US Army UpAmored" I do not want to seem disrespectful, but for the editor to have a certain order would be my opinion, the best way ! What do you think ? Best regards (ST6)Predator

lennard 447 Posted May 2, 2010 Love your work NZX! those look realistic and also love all the variations.
cole 0 Posted May 2, 2010 45 versions? There's no chance I'm going to the russian side once I'll have these in my modfolder, that'd be pure suicide. Great work, nice to see such variety :)
scubaman3D 0 Posted May 2, 2010 June is just in time for Arrowhead - which will also have desert M1151s, a CROWS, and an M998A2 SOV variant - but I know in this forum that people love large amounts of mediocre things. The M1117, however, will not be in Arrowhead ;)
NoRailgunner 0 Posted May 2, 2010 The choice of beeing able to use a variety of things is sometimes better than beeing forced to use pre-defined things that dont fit. ;) OA is only based on desert theme and I highly doubt that we gonna see default vehicles in woodland or similar camo. Anyway I would like to use + play with NZXSHADOWS vehicles first before I would "judge" them. OA isnt released - hope and wishful thinking might blind some people... NZXSHADOWS 0 Posted May 2, 2010 (edited) Hmm i hope these trucks are not labeled M1151's. They are clearly M1114's. An if the CROWS looks like that in game. Id have to say Ive never seen such a system on a HMWWV? Im no expert but they just dont look as correct as Id think they would. Im not judgeing either. I will be thankfull what ever is there. Im just saying I want a bunch of trucks. An for the M1117 it will be in OA along with abunch of other crap i can throw together. scubaman3D 0 Posted May 2, 2010 (edited) Oh, sorry - maybe I could have said what I said better. I'm not trying to get into some debate about the accuracy of the models because I'd be willing to wager 90%+ of the users here couldn't tell you what the difference between M1151 and 1114 is. I'm more commenting on the insatiable appetite for virtually every permutation for the sake of "choice and variety" as Norailgunner predictably said - even if the quality is lacking. No doubt, BIS really could spend more time researching their choices of equipment and gear. I meant more to encourage you on the M1117 since it will be something more unique. as a side note: clearly an example of a cut corner, BIS is just recycling the RWS from the Stryker of ArmA1 and slapping it on top of an ArmA1 HMMWV. topas 1 Posted May 2, 2010 (...) if the CROWS looks like that in game. Id have to say Ive never seen such a system on a HMWWV? Im no expert but they just dont look as correct as Id think they would Well. instead of looking like this: http://xbradtc.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/ord_rws_crows_hummers_lg.jpg it is rather fairly similar to a ZSMU-12 Kobuz crow system as mounted on this Polish M1043A2: http://1.1.1.5/bmi/i58.photobucket.com/albums/g250/kubisz/ZMSU12_03.jpg
Binkowski 26 Posted May 2, 2010 they aren't really labeled in arrowhead as M1151 etc, they are just HMMWV SOV, HMMWV CROWS etc.
AnimalMother92 10 Posted May 2, 2010 woot those look awesome. so much variety!

Some pics: http://resboiu.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/ord_rws_kongsberg_m151-protector-on-m1126-stryker-mosul.jpg (linked cause it's too large) Only problem is I don't think they uses these on anything but Strykers :\
scubaman3D 0 Posted May 3, 2010 As I said, BIS obviously just recycled the Protector from the Stryker in A1 and slapped it onto the A1 HMMWV. Its another cut-corner in the "form vs function" debate within BIS.
hmmwv 0 Posted May 3, 2010 Very well done job on those humvees mate, congrats. An about the OA humvees.. Well, BIS humvees never have been very accurate, let´s face it, so the protector issue is, sadly, just another one to add to the list.
