I don't think Got Game Entertainment was the best choice in publisher. Look at their website, most oddball group of games i've ever seen.

Almost sounds like a joke: some puzzle games, some 2d games, some card games, and... ArmA 2 :391:

Anyway, who the hell knows when it comes out here in NA.

I thought the same thing when I was on their site, the only game I've heard of is Penumbra. BIS is fucking stupid for ditching Atari.

My ISP isn't %100 reliable here because of either A.) its fucking comcast, or B.) roadway construction taking out the telephone/cable lines temporarily, so this is a deal breaker for me. I went through the EXACT SAME bullshit with the Company of Heroes expansion (non steam) and I ended up using that as target practice with my 1911

"where to buy?" what? this game?omg cmon this is the WORST military game ever seen in my life... Why? 'coz : Terrible flat graphics/Thousands of bugs/Still lagging with triple SLi & high-end systems/Funny characters/Horrible mission tasks without indicators/Weapon accuracy/Sounds (reminds me of Rick Dangerous)/Glitches everywhere & rediculous antihack system at online mode (5h of gaming but no ban?lol) etc etc etc. This is enough? This "game" NOT worthing any $..

Don't waste our time with your bs. Go start another thread on another forum about how this game is not like Counterstrike and therefore SUXORS! LOLZ! and kindly f*** off.

That'd be great, SUPR3ME KILL3R. I had my eye on that site as well to buy from.

It seems that the game is available, but obviously not from anywhere in the US...apparently only the 505 version is being sold, and the Got Game Ent. version does not exist.

E-mailed IDEA games, the company that represents BIS. I asked why the game wasn't out and where it would be available when it was. This is the response I got:

So I just got off the phone with Electronic Boutique in Vancouver BC and now the Canadian publisher has moved the release date back from July 7 to July 17.

But maybe it'll be a version with the most advanced patch in it so this could be a good thing, even if it is breaking my heart.

Thanks to Sneak and others who helped me out.

My first download purchase from Steam. No problems at all. I have a modest cable speed so it took 7 hours, did it overnight.

Works perfect on my Toshiba X300 laptop w Vista 64. I get 15 to 20 frames on High-ish settings, not bad at all.

The game is pure genious, I couldn't be happier with how endless it is. Man I love it. I got lost in the woods a bit already in the campaign,heh,heh,loser.

Anyway, I'll buy the boxed one too.

I believe the DVD was realesed on July 7th. I saw it in Best Buy and I live on the east coast of the U.S. as well.

You must have seen a pre order box because the U.S. boxes only started shipping to retailers on the 8th. Best Buy's site still says it's backordered and not available in any stores.

I hate to say it, but this is starting to really get under my skin.

Operation Flashpoint, great game accidentally bumped across it at the PX.

Armed Assault 1, great game -unfortunately it was out in Europe for a full year before I could find it here. Ended up downloading a German version and then had to wait for a 12 year old in Finland to patch it over to English every time a patch was released. Finally got the U.S. version, had to buy it twice though.

ArmA II, I assume it's a great game, but I can't say as I can't friggin pay someone to give it to me. I pre-ordered from the publishers, the GD publishers, who are in charge of getting it out to every swinging Tom, Dick and Harry in the U.S. and Canada. What do they have to say:

"We have no record of your order"

So I send them a copy of my invoice

I get some automated response which I reply to saying thanks for the response, but it doesn't answer my question.

"We have no estimate"

You've got to be kidding me how can the PUBLISHER be back-ordered. I like BI, I like their games, but they've got to get this mess in hand.

Just got it!

USPS was too lazy to ring my doorbell as usual. luckily I heard the mailbox door shut since I was in the garage. I highly recommend ordering from NWS if you are in the US. They delivered as said and I live on the other side of the country. Now I'm off to install! :D
