RazorX 10 Posted January 14, 2010 (edited) 1.05 In a barn with barriers I can walk through some of the barriers AI driving skills are really poor. The AI doesn't avoid obstacles on a road but smashes through it. On corners like in Kamishovo while turning on the first corner (the next one after turning from the main road), the AI smashes into a fence, which stands a bit far away from the road. Also vehicles that move in a column have many problems when closing on to one another, It seriously prevents from creating missions using convoys. giuppo 1 Posted January 17, 2010 Hi, I don't know if has been reported but i have a bug: In the MH60, when i'm in the back of the chopper, at passenger place, i don't see the "backrest" of the 8 other seats in the middle of the chopper. Different Players on my Server have this Problem. Even on other Servers we experienced this Problem. I have to open my Task Manager and kill the ArmA Process manually, then I can Start it again. ArmA ver. 1.05, no Mods or Addons installed. Machine: * QuadCore Q6600 CPU * 4096 MB RAM * GForce 9800 GTX GPU with 512 MB RAM !! Flash Thunder 10 Posted February 25, 2010 The T90's main cannon can go down to low, going through the tank itself, also when you rotate it towards the back end, it goes through the barrels. also why are these barrels on the tank and why is there a log strapped to the back, I think the model asthetically would look better without the log and the 2 barrels. The medic came and healed me, but the red screen didn't disappear. The red screen is there when I switch between the 4 soliders too. (the unit icon is not red, meaning he is no more wounded) 2. I was driving a car (the red car) and the radio started to play. The sound started to loop even when I disembark and now It follows me wherever I go! 3. Sometimes I cannot heal the wounded soliders: no message in the action menu. If I order a solider to heal the wounded man he can't heal him, so I must reload from an old savegame. Im glad its hear in that case instead of the proper bug report place (Dev Heaven A2CIT - signature). 3. Again, do you play with addons? ACE? Might need bandage from RIGHT WIN key. If you use addons you cannot make bug reports. Your game has to be clean because the bugs/problems can come from the addons and not from clean ARMA2 game. I noticed that it seems to be related to my team members, Infact I hear that talking voice whenever I go near a solider. It also seems that the audio files playing are two and they overlap. 3. I have the vanilla game, patch 1.05, playing without mods and addons. Just installed it and played. It happened in the Manhattan mission, after the girl under arrest escort submission. I think there are 3 more occasional bugs: 4. The team members do not respond to my move/follow orders. I wait for 2 minutes but nothing happens, so I move them directly (when I try to walk it seems they're stuck, than they start to walk) 5. When I order them to get in the red car, one of them goes on the top of the car :D standing with the foots in the mesh. 6. One of my men got suck on me. I can see it only when I switch in 3d person view. The manhattan bug is well known (and pretty annoying - don't know if it's been solved now). For the others you should try to better explain the situation and possibly reproduce them. Or if they happened just 1 time i think the game can be forgiven Last but not least, eventually use the bugtracker (try to be be clear and not to double post obviously). langgis08 10 Posted March 10, 2010 (edited) hi all, playing ArmA2 with patch 1.05 (vanilla) sp campaign / mission "Söldner" ("Dogs of War") just some minutes away from accomplishing final task ("destroying chedaki base") I don't know exactly when and how it happened: "O'Hara" (Team Razor) seems to be constantly and unremovable in action/status "support" (? german: "unterstü.", meaning "unterstützen" -> "to support", the text just on the units head in the icon-row at HUD down left corner), but I never ordered him to that status (at least I dunno how i could have done it :) )... i can't find (or haven't found yet) the correct command to free him from that status. I cannot see the sense of this status "unterstützen"/"support" because he follows all of my orders EXCEPT "return to formation", so my guy won't follow when all of my squad are in "return to formation"-status. So does anybody know what happened to O'Hara and how I can release him from that status, bringing him "back to normal" ? Thx 4 answers, Tom alias langgis08 btw: very great forum here for a very good game ! edit: just finished campaign - bug (or whatever it was) remained until having destroyed the base - my workaround was: putting O'Hara into an UAZ as driver, so he had to stay in formation whether he wanted to or not :p I think the whole problem was a result of O'Hara being the medic of Team Razor, supporting all the time:rolleyes:. The issues at points 3. and 4. are known bugs. BMP3 + BTR-90 will have the crew turn out if a human player is present in the vehicle as a passenger in the rear. This will occur no matter what combat stance you set the crew to. langgis08 10 Posted March 16, 2010 @Black Mamba yes, I know this muzzleflash-bug (noticed so fare just in SP) in kind of a different way: using humvee with installed machine gun, while playing every round fires fine, some smoke and muzzleflash as it should be and as it should vanish ... BUT: after reloading a savegame with one of my squad standing at the m2 of the humvee playing starts with that static muzzleflash lightning endlessly. After I installed 1.05 patch the AI command system got messed up on a couple of crucial commands. 1. When I tell AI to follow my stance they simply stand up and keep running. Before 1.05 they would actually copy my stance. I know this doesn't sound like much, but I do play off-line a lot and this is quite an important command with AI. 2. I don't know if this is even a bug, but the awareness levels seem to be auto-managed now. Before 1.05, when I used to tell my men to be "aware" they would move around normally right until stuff starts exploding around them. Now they seem to be switching to "Danger" when nothing really is happening around them. This really slows things down. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

(I've not observed this happening on the right side, but it might.) They will moonwalk in place, in some cases preventing the mission from continuing. This is one possible reason why the Support waypoint when using helicopters doesn't work as well as it did in Operation Flashpoint: Elite. Suggested Fix: Have disembarked troops and crewmen walk about 10 meters out from the sides of the bird and then move to adopt a formation in front of the nose, about 20 meters. WAYPOINT TIMEOUTS: If I remember correctly, in Operation Flashpoint "Mid" in the Waypoint TIMEOUT section was used ONLY if you wanted the waypoint to TEND or LEAN or SKEW towards the number of seconds you specify in that block. The bug in ArmA II is that if you leave Mid as 0 (zero), it will IGNORE the Min(imum) setting greater than 0 (zero). The benefit of being able to leave Mid as 0 (zero), while setting the Min and Max higher, is so that you have a FLATLY RANDOM timeout possibility. langgis08 10 Posted April 26, 2010 (edited) SP Scenario , me squad leader (5 subordinates), formation column, walking straight forward, obstacle => fence in front of us (the simple, usual wooden one, out in the fields) pressing "forward" until my player has to climb over the plank but any subordinate just walks through the plank as if it wasn't there, they don't climb neither they crawl on ground. it's not a new issue, it's not game breaking, but ... it's very nasty and killing feeling of realism, of course...
