Ka-60 coooool :)

i have always hoped some one will work on it one day.

U could make similar interior to harbin z-9 (china) in PLA Mod or panther and just make cockpit like in pics below

Are u planning version with FFAR too?

I have only seen small photo's from net but they may help in same way if u havn't got some already and i'm sure as time goes more photos will appear somewhere.

Thank you! Thanks for the FFAR version pic, didnt know there was one. The cockpit pics are very helpful too. ^^ What I have also been looking for is a high resolution picture taken in front of the heli. I have a low-res but it really isnt good when I try to place the points.

But the fact is I hav ejust started modeling (thx to Myke's tutorial) so I don't really know about anything other than creating the model itself. :)

Thinking of trying for a 'matte pack' to make A2 vehicles more realistic, that is reflect far less light most noticeable on the wooodland vehicles...

While I was at it I figured why not mess with the camo and add some field use.

nice. although, would be cool if you added bits and bobs the the model (backpacks etc ) to make it look like,. .. well, people are actually in there :)

maybe you could try doing that on the a1 strykers.

I'd love to do something like that but that would involve hacking (since no premission has yet been given to modify) the p3ds and I don't think BI would take too kindly to that.

Glad you like it Max255[PL], would you be interested in testing it for me? Right now I could use a few testers, anyone is welcome as long as you know how to unpack and re-pack PBO files to replace the textures. (For now only the LAV)

If you are interested just send me a PM and I'll send the textures your way.

I think that BIS released the ArmA 1 Strykers (and other models) under the condition that work derived from those models are released again under the same license.

That's fantastic. I never did like the BIS LAV texture so this is a welcome replacement :D

Hmm..at some point I may look at the strykers, to be honest though I doubt it will happen, I still need to concentrate on outfitting my abrams and getting it ingame to which I've been sorely slacking.

And remember if you want to try out the texture just PM me, you don't even have to provide feedback, just know how to handle the files.

Also good luck with that Ka-60 ziiip :)

hum yeah nice , and about the first person view any udapte ? (when i say wip pics, i want some interior pics :) because i see one screenshoot and after nothing. You stop the interior to focus on the inside ?

The interior is a main focus yes but right now the goal is to get the abrams ingame to test a simple exterior itnerior rather than working on the full blown interior, mostly because I'm getting impatient and want to see it ingame again after initial tests and see wether how visible the inside of the tank may be from outside.

I'll be posting pictures of the interior itself when there is moreso something to show for it, as it stands it's just a hollow'd box with a cylinder going into the tanks belly with the nearest thing done(ish) is the main gun loading station, it's just one piece but I guess I could upload a picture of it if you wanted.

yeah i really want to see that , and i can be your tester. I use a Saitek X52 Pro for gunner position and i test lot of tank mp me if you want

hey ai don't need help for taking off from the lhd with the harrier or f35 they can both take off fine without catapult as long as they have most of the length of the carrier to take off. this is easily demonstrated when using thise lhd runway mod and example mission http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=97603&highlight=USS+Khe+Sanh. The ai have no trouble taking off, but landing is another matter. they seem only to do conventional landings and go straight off the end of the lhd as its too short.

maybe there's some way to make the ai do a vertical landing with a script then?

Soc-r wip

This is the high poly model and o far its ~550,000 triangles, while the low poly is currently ~6,000 and there's a bit left to go. I might actually approach 1,000,000 tris on the high :O

I'm learning a pretty normal low poly to high poly ratio is approx. 1poly:1000polys
