USSRsniper 0 Posted June 16, 2009 You guys do all you modeling in o2 or you use some other tools sometimes? :)Nice stuff there Scubaman3d! I hope I can get into doing modeling for Arma 2 too sometime :) Instead of hoping, just simply start modeling :) With O2 for example ;)
fromz 2 Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) There is a OH MOD in ArmA1 for the Chinese serious combat exercise: "Operation Halfmoon". include modern PLA platoon weapons, units and vehicles. But I haven't release the MOD to public. Just for "Operation Halfmoon" Multiplayer Game use. Now ArmA2 comes, The OH2 PLA units MOD decide to public. and are also working inprocess. more whole new elements are also added in. Commando84 0 Posted June 17, 2009 nice work Fromz! The map inside the c hopper was a bit low res but nice work on the big picture :) those PLA choppers look very sexy :) Yeah I tried getting into O2 during ofp but it was such a hassle with having to alt tab constantly between the manual and O2 to read what buttons did what :D I was hoping I could do stuff in max or maya and import it to O2 someday. Got some stuff I would like to do, I just need to get some creative energy to last for the afternoon after work :D
Sennacherib 0 Posted June 17, 2009 Ni hao (ä½ å¥½), very nice addons. the PLA mod for ofp was one of my favourite mod. can't wait to see your future addons. :)
Blue_Flight 0 Posted June 17, 2009 Great work Fromz. Is this cooperation with the PLA MOD or selfstanding?
USSRsniper 0 Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) Old model which was collecting dust on HDD, so far 8k polygons, and there is no missile bay which opens or the actual missile modeled :computer: Going to finish this one for peacekeeping operations in ArmA 2. Alex.XP 0 Posted June 18, 2009 (edited) Great work Fromz. Is this cooperation with the PLA MOD or selfstanding? There is no cooperation between us(VME and OH). We are the VME(Virtual Military Engineer) team who made the VME PLA MOD in OFP times. Fromz comes from the OH(Operation Halfmoon) team who appeared in ArmA times. Murklor 10 Posted June 18, 2009 Since everyone seems to be doing either realistic weapons or realistic vehicles, I decided to do the exact opposite and make an unrealistic building: a heavily fortified bunker in a modernized star layout, good for placing goodies like a CTF flag in the center, heh. ~3700 faces, modelled in Blender and rendered with Sunflow Now I just need to get over the slight obstacle of not even knowing how to apply a texture  Oh well, lol. bravo 6 0 Posted June 18, 2009 i guess its not destructible.. is it?
wipman 1 Posted June 18, 2009 Hi, that bunker looks very well, maybe you could a pair of static M2HBs and a TOW-II in the western one and a DSHKM and a Spiggot to the eastern one, looks very good anyways. Why don't you release it for the ArmA too?. Let's C ya
Murklor 10 Posted June 18, 2009 (edited) Odd question. I havent made such a mesh yet, so no if that's what you're asking. I havent even made a collision mesh. That's why its called WIP. Actually I'm planning to beef up exterior armor (because it look dull just having a big concrete face and the big plates turned out looking real ugly) so it'll look indestructible :p And yes there's gonna be static weapons on it... As many as can fit, lol. Gonna be nice seeing that sucker light up in the night. Edited June 18, 2009 by Murklor

MehMan 0 Posted June 21, 2009 Seems like you overdid the brake lights, they seem to have a fair number of edges for their size. Same goes for front indicator. The exhaust too. Looks like you made it open, closing it will probably be better off if you really want to save polies. nice clean mesh good edge flow. With a bit of chamfering you'd get a nice meshsmooth going on. There's a bit of distortion going on at the back window though, here I marked it for you: But thumbs up(as in picture) otherwise.

Overkill or not its just 200 faces, cant see the point in making them lower. thats why we have LOD's. nice clean mesh good edge flow. With a bit of chamfering you'd get a nice meshsmooth going on.
