[aps]gnat 28 Posted June 18, 2008 Last link doesnt work Manzilla. Thx, I can see from the first link the guns on a wall mounted swing-out bar. Thanks for the "flight" compliments, but half is design, half is luck. I have flown in choppers etc many times, but you can "see" how it flys in many videos etc. Just wished I could make it look a little more realistic. Of course the height of the fuselage is not correct, its a little higher so you can walk in. I'll look a little more at my options for ramps, swing-bars and positions ...... manzilla 1 Posted June 18, 2008 Try this one: http://military.discovery.com/tv/osprey/osprey.html It's the official website for the US TV station The Military Channel and their documentary "Flight of the Osprey". Look for Osprey Videos -> Watch Show Clips in the grey border on the left. If the videos don't work try to see what player is needed. I'm not sure by the looks of mine. Ok you do know about the fuselage. I probably should've mentioned something but I wasn't sure what info you had. I have no clue what the dimensions are but from experience I know it's a bit bigger. It's gotta be difficult to get accurate info on the workings, true dimensions and probably info in general that I'd sound like an ass saying, "it's not accurate, but I can't back that up". On a plane, heli, whatever, as unknown as this there is probably a point to leave good enough alone. Unless one has the time and effort of course. I figured it may be getting close to that point on the model so I wanted to cut you some slack. If you have time to tweak that a little bit it may help with the gunner placement, visually at least. Regardless, I'm still not over how well you got the mechanics and general flight. You know... "death box" or not those boys at Bell/Boeing Heli are geniuses. Let's not forget persistent as well. This thing really is a marvel. And it's a blast in ArmA.
Inkslinger 1 Posted June 18, 2008 http://bellhelicopter.com/en/aircraft/military/bellEagleEye.cfm I know its not the Osprey but its a possibility now.
miles teg 1 Posted June 27, 2008 Very nice! Didn't someone send you some USMC textures? If so, I hope you use 'em. At any rate, looking good and I'm glad to see that tail gunner. That'll come in handy. Chris G. aka-Miles Teg<GD>

mankyle 405 Posted June 28, 2008 Nope, looking veeeeeeeeeery good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now there are only two things to do. 1st: add a copilot slot 2nd: Solve the proxies problems where you can shoot them with everything you've got and don't do a thing
Commando84 0 Posted June 28, 2008 Gnat maybe you can look at choppers in generals and see where the wearn tear apears But if you really can't do it i will still be happy for the new painted versions with marines and all.

It doesn't blow up or anything, but it does start to put it into a slight spin and it starts to come down. Although with any other heaver weapons, it does get blow out of the sky alot easier and too quickly.
Kristian 47 Posted June 29, 2008 whats the rear-gunner armed with? is that m2? even when its armed, will I be able to pull the ramp up if there is too big risk for the gunner to be shot? manzilla 1 Posted July 24, 2008 i dont know if someone already pointed it out but when u are inside the heli and it takes of you fall out the back I've heard of this but I've never been able to replicate it? Do they fall out when seated near the back(when it's nearing capacity.) Or does it happen with just a few seated in the back? The only reason I ask is cause I'm curious to see it in game. I've used this Osprey religiously since it was released and have never come across this bug. I'm wondering if one of the many AddOns and Mods I always use is negating this bug. I think he means when he STANDING in the back. Yes off course you can fall out .... the game engine doesnt actually allow you to stand in a moving vehicle !!!! Its only luck that you can stand in the back of a moving V22 at all. Beta 2 has a rear door GEO LOD, so now theres less chance in falling out ..... but hey, its all a lucky bonus anyway, don't complain. Also, I changed the "disembark" point for both cargo and pilots to be INSIDE the cargo bay. This nice feature means if the chopper is hovering and the back door is open, as Cargo you can "get out" and then run and jump off the ramp .... and yes, before you point out that you would then fall to your death, theres a special "parachute" action item that means you can "get out" and then run and parachute off the ramp also.
