1.09 beta patch troubleshooting thread.

I appreciate that some troubleshooting issues might be too complex to be stuck together in the same thread as everyone else's, but if we can at least give it a try to keep all 1.09 related troubleshooting issues together to start it might help more people out than just the first one to have the problem.

Remember to download and install 1.09 before posting 1.09 related troubleshooting issues

And make sure to check list of known issues first.

My ArmA version is 1.08.5613, yet the 1.09 installer says I have 1.07 and should upgrade to 1.08 before proceeding. Any ideas?

PS I havn't got Queen's Gambit.

I have patched client and servers to 1.09 when I try running the beta server.eve I get Noentry".profilepathdefault" error on both machines, after checking another player is getting it also when runnig the new server.exe in the beta folder

it erases files from ArmA\Addons directory

and who knows what else

not just beta content !!!

one more reason to include uninstall.log with details what was done !!!

Be sure that your shortcut target field is correct:

"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\beta\arma.exe" -mod=beta -window

For example.

And also that the Start In field points to the ArmA root folder:

"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA"

If you have Queens Gambit, the hotfix_QG.pbo and its .bisign go in your DBE1\Addons folder in the ArmA root.

The addons\hotfix_dbe1.pbo and its .bisign go in your beta\addons folder in arma root.

I have no idea about the CA_hotfix you mention there.

I had this, when i tried to run using ArmA Launcher, you have to run it directly from the shortcut it creates in your ArmA root folder

How do we get battleeye to work, when we enable it on the server we get an error about missing .dlls and when we go to the website and look for a download there website download page is blank.

We added this to the server.cfg

battlEye = 1;

www.BattlEye.com doesnt have any download links to the dlls or folders or anything

I can confirm this problem. BE protection will not work at the moment.

As well as problem when installing over 1.07 beta version.

AFAIK - Mod folders are loaded in order, so last thing overwrites over classes etc. Therefore the patch which does that needs to be last loaded to overwrite stuff on load.

Ok I installed whole arma again and first patched straight to

1.08 and after that installed beta and I got this message when I

start the game no entry to bin/con ..... ladder smt.

What I have to do to get this fixed?

yes I can,but I think I'm solving this prob,I think I made mistake

when I patched straight to 1.04 to 1.08.

I try one more time 1.04-1.05int--1.08-1.09beta.

I think there is my problem,have to put also 1.05.
