Hi snake22000, is it possible to split the sound from XAM and make it work with other mods? Which file should I pick to replace other sound files? After tried various sound mods I found the sound in XAM is the only one that suits my taste, so any help will be much appreciated.

Snake told me sunday (or saturday, cant remember) it would be ready monday.

Now since monday past without a release I think he found some issues to fix.

The light version should be compatible with other addons without a problem, thats the whole idea behind it

Dont shoot me if it doesnt work though, I am only the messenger and I am tired of running so I am a too easy target

Guys, only those with AVG reported this and as I already replied in the Armaholic forums there are 2 things you can do.

- not use the XAM cause you trust AVG to be the only excellent virusscanner and reporting trojans correctly and so saving you from a lot of troubels.

- ignore the faulty report by AVG and use XAM (if you cant install it disable the program unitl the installer is done......I guess)

I scanned the xam installer on different locations and everywhere its clean.

Thats the thing I turned AVG off the installer doesn't pop on.

same here, even when I re DL without AVG on and try to install it w/o AVG on it just doesn't work, nothing happens

Anybody else notice the CQB rifleman with the eotech M4 has a permanent muzzle flash? It's completely unusable at night.

I have a problem with Xam light (eng). I cannot run it with Arma 1.9 Beta Patch.

I have no problems running it with Arma 1.8 and it looks so good. I love it.

But when I add ;mod@Xamlightwhatever in the Beta Patch shortcut, I get an error message concerning Alpha Shaders failed to load or something like that which sucks because 1,8 Arma lags like there is no tomorrow.

I am at work now so I can't remember the complete message but someone must know something.

Is XAM light compatible with the beta patch?

If yes, then why doesn't it work?

If no, then why not make it compatible?

Ps: I am thinking of using the Xam 1.4 (full version) with 1.9 Beta Patch. Will that be possible?

If you read the stuff during install, you'll notice it is only for 1.08 (I almost missed it myself, matter of fact). Bad news is its not 1.09 compatible and won't be, the good news is when the final patch is out, the Lite version will be patched for us all.

Until then, just do what I do, even though its a pain in the butt, go with the full version 1.09 patched version.

My problem with the full version is that I don't approve of some of the new features.

Lite was just perfect for my needs but... what can you do?

Yeah I know what you mean. I wasn't fond of the newest update of the full, and they took out my eotech M249, among other things like the hostile takeover it tend to do when you try using other mods. But until we get the patched version of the Lite, guess we'll just have to grin and bear it.

I just tried XAM (the full version) and I noticed that everyone dies with one bullet. No matter where it hits.

Is this supposed to be like that? I remember reading something about bleeding and stuff.

What's up? XAM light doesn't do that. When you get hit you get nice effects bluring etc. In XAM I hit a player on the foot and he died.

Also, I don't know if it has been mentioned but when I use a scope and right click to normal view, it lags. Bad. About a second of freeze then it goes back to normal.

If I right click a few times (scope to normal to scope) it goes away but it happens again as soon as I look somewhere else.

My machine is a beast as well, new drivers and all that.

As you can probably understand this would kill me in a battle.

XAM light is great as it is as long as I deal with the lag that is caused by the game version.

Please people, release Xam lite with 1.9 beta patch!

O.k I've deleted my shortcut, but i need that string you add in the properties area?

does anyone know it?.. You drop it in the original ArmA Shortcut then it runs the 1.4 mod?..
