Noraf 0 Posted August 25, 2007 I found an interesting news on the Armaholic.com site, about an uppcoming patch, the 1,09, and arma gold edition. hoping for some oficial confirmation about this....
Heatseeker 0 Posted August 25, 2007 A fully patched up version including the expantion sounds good . Lets see how the expantion turns out though..
Maddmatt 1 Posted August 25, 2007 It's probably true. No big surprise. ArmA still has some bugs to be fixed, and it just wouldn't be right to release the expansion without a patch. Hope they fixed the savegame global variable issue (some modders will know that that is). It even has the most votes on the bugtracker. Other bugs need to be fixed too. Would be nice if missile behaviour was improved too. Just try the KA-50 missiles for example, they are as unstable as hell.
madrussian 347 Posted August 25, 2007 Good news. Â My hope is for the missing anim transitions and being able to turn off the god-awful mouse autocentering. Â Both of these have lots of votes in the BT. Â (Top ten on both for open issues last I checked.) Â Yeah, that savegame global variable issue is a biggie too. Â If it's all true, thank you BIS. Â Arn't we supposed to be cutting down on the amount of resources we waste thesedays? Lots of people have been moaning about the lack of documentation. Plenty of people will buy this! It's a sensible commercial move by BIS.

Not at all, you just know this "community" well  Yes I would buy the 300 page editing manual for my own purposes and also to support BIS, im sure others will do the same. Only bug I really care for fixing is the 88ss CTD aka (Video Ram issue).. With the release of O2 and the new expansion coming up this will cause problems with me and my wife
Beagle 684 Posted August 26, 2007 Just try the KA-50 missiles for example, they are as unstable as hell. This is a feature, not a bug...this type of missiles has a spiraling flight path for real.
troop 0 Posted August 26, 2007 ^ And is their hit rate as bad in RL too?
max power 21 Posted August 26, 2007 Their hit rate is quite good irl. I think what those missiles need is some kind of terminal homing phase where they stop spiralling. At any rate, you can make it so the missiles don't spiral if you launch them with your reticle 5 or 10 degrees higher than the target. There is some angle around there where they just fly straight, no spiralling.

But the real ones hit their targets most of the time! Quote[/b] ]At any rate, you can make it so the missiles don't spiral if you launch them with your reticle 5 or 10 degrees higher than the target. There is some angle around there where they just fly straight, no spiralling. If you have to aim them like that, it kinda defeats the point in them being guided missiles And even when you do that, they still often miss. Compare them with the Hellfires, which hardly ever miss. F!reBl4de 0 Posted August 26, 2007 My wish: INTERNALS FOR TANKS. i admit i'd like to see an internal for tanks aswell, missing that AI a bit smarter would be nice, and also the droppage of the fps near foilage would be awesome...
Jack-UK 0 Posted August 26, 2007 Performance,Performance,Performance. I'd happily live with all the bugs if we could just get the erratic performance issues sorted out..
jerryhopper 286 Posted August 26, 2007 300 pages... phew! I wonder with all these 'printed stuff' these days... Would www.bisgadgetstore.com be a great idea? All ArmA 'Paper' books & resources online. (from mr murrays, dsly, others) Mix up with caps, cups , gadgets some thing fun! - maybe a clothing line? ( i vote for a 'che guevara' style T-Shirt with Maruk on it? ) Hook-up a nice afffiliation program for the community... Now that would be a nice move - ?! i dont know if im being cynical - i think its a great idea !
Beagle 684 Posted August 26, 2007 ^And is their hit rate as bad in RL too? Depend on range. Under 500m hit probability is low... They hit to 90% when fired from more than 1000m away.
