Securite Civile Modification

Recommended Posts

Just saw this announcement on armedassault.info with this video and i think this deserves an appearing here at the forums.

The mod is about firefighting with the approriate vehicles, and there are plenty of them!

Enjoy the video smile_o.gif

I haven´t got more infos though..

A lot of people are going to say that they don't see any reason for this mod in ArmA - but I think this would be a lot of fun, and it'd be very interesting to see how firefighting and combat can be interwoven.

If ChayenneAH56 & Renton read this - These look amazing, and it's incredible that you've done so many helicopters and aircraft! They look to be of very high quality too (from what I can tell from a Youtube video). So, I would very kindly ask that you consider "donating" some of their aircraft models to other projects, or allowing other addon makers to work with your aircraft and helicopters. It's entirely your decision, of course, but I think this would help out the addon and mod community a lot, I'm sure, and it'd be great to have some military versions of a couple of these planes/helicopters out there.

Once again, excellent job, and I think it'll be very fun to try out.

This is very interesting.

The French Securité Civile really are incredible... Anyone can see them during summer fires, especially in southern France and Corsica. These guys are top pilots, but don't forget the Pompiers (firefighters) on the ground !

I hope this mod will pay some tribute to all of them. I'll be glad to test it... Great work.

I guess that for training purpose, it can be quite useful. Otherwise, what's the use of killing a pixel ?

The video is great, there are a huge number of aircrafts already done ! And this, without the tools ! That's really impressive...

If Cheyenne or another mod member reads this : were the pilots AI or user only ?

Excellent work, really looking forward to testing this.

Solus made it possible for forrests and other stuff to set fire, all bushes and stuff and the better thing is... the fire spreads by wind values... so I would love to see this mod worked out so it can stop those forrest fires from taking over nothern sahrani's beautifull forrests

Never mind fires, I'd like to turn a high-pressure hose onto

some of those manky-looking Sahrani civilians - they look like

they could do with a good wash!  tounge2.gif

Not a bad idea.

To be honest, fire extinguishers would be good for molotov attacks and fires on the vehicles but I don't see the aircraft having much use as anything other than a side mod.

I have to say well done to the person(s) who have made them, nice to see mods going well.

*whimper*

Someone get me that Puma with a machinegun mounted to the side and some RACS camo, please? wow_o.gif

But seriously : excellent work. I love flying around ArmA, and the more planes and choppers there are to choose between, the better. biggrin_o.gif

Wolfrug

I think it might be a cool thing and a fun thing to play. Even if not it'll at least add to civy stuff that is badly needed in ArmA.

I guess the creators of this mod have done it so that ArmA is NOT limited to a war simulation.

After, what they do with their great and numerous models is up to them. They can donate them to other mods for military adaptation, for example.

However, I'd like to see them complete the Sécurité Civile Mod as it had been intended : a firefighting simulation.

Thx everybody for your interest, for the moment we are still working on this mod.

One of the most difficult part of this mod is to simulate "fire development" so if some guys are interested to work with us....

PS : sorry for me poor english
