Damn, I wanted to vote for fdf but I accidently null voted.

I like the polished sound of fdf... I'm also eagerly anticipating Virus's sound mod. His work for WGL was excellent.

Overall I believe that the FDF sound mod outdoes everything else. Not to say that the others are bad... but the FDF sound pack wins by a nose

Id say FDF on the vehicles (esp. the AH/MH-6), But the weapons and the atmosphere Chammy's makes tops it off. When chammy's full version comes out, its all chammy baby...

Chammy's I don't understand getting all the votes, I like the concept of it and all but the weapons just lack punch to their sounds. It's not his fault though as all the sources for wepaons firing being taken from footage you can't expect much. The main gripe I have with it is firing the gun in my hand sounds like it's in the distance.

FDF may not be using 100% realistic sounds, but at least the weapons are LOUD and threatening.

More of a professional feel to it , the sounds happen at the right time at the right volume , i find the others very nice but not as pinpoint in there ambience and crispness . although i hope this survey make them all better ,you cant beat a bit of competitition.

As I've tried them all, and the one that gives me the best quality for battles, and self shooting I would have to say FDF. Chammies mod in an annoying way is quiet, and the basic M16/M4 variants have an odd cork gun sounding quality. FDF also has vehicle sounds already out.

FDF just makes me feel like I'm really shooting the gun, and I don't have to crank my speakers up, then suffer the consequences of getting in a helicopter and being deaf.

I like Chammy's with Modwar as a close second.

Obviously these tastes are subjective to everyone's personal taste. Chammy just has a knack for getting that bassy percussive punch that carries over as the vibration one would feel. Some of the other mod's are too metallic and feels like I'm back on a construction site.

Who likes sometime "CNN/Moviesounds" plays with Chammys Mod, another time the same person likes to hear more realistic and plays Modern Warfare or FDF Mod... they all are nice and it's good to have the choice

Yeah chammy's has amazing firefight sounds, no question. They just need to be tweaked with loudness in your hands, then vehicle sounds added and stuff and it will be a blast!!!

I personally think their M4 and M16 sounds are way off in Chammies.

And Chammies mod does not have helicopter sounds, nor is FDFs helicopter twice as loud.

I have to go with ModWar's, i was really excited about chammys, but it just doesn't sound good in 1st person, lacks any kind of punch to them, they sound great as ambient sounds, but i just don't feel like im firing a weapon. If chammy can find a good balance between the punch of the first person firing and the echo of the 3rd, i will definitely use it.
