MehMan 0 Posted April 30, 2009 That's something incredibly cool! Editing unit weapons on the fly and creating cargo weapon stores! Does it also work with ACE?
i0n0s 0 Posted April 30, 2009 @Plaintiff: It was a request by a user and it's a nice idea :p It works with ACE, but you can't store items in the backpack. I've asked the ACE team for permission to add it to the RTE, so ACE should be fully supported soon.
max power 21 Posted April 30, 2009 I wasn't saying it wasn't a nice idea, I just wasn't sure what it was. You should describe it for the rest of us... this is kind of an art thread and there is very little to do with art in there. At the very least you could explain what it does. The gui does look fairly attractive, though.
i0n0s 0 Posted April 30, 2009 Ok, GUI design ain't art, it's torture. I thought the screens are self explaining. The first screen shows the editing of the weapon cargo of the truck. Weapon cargo will get read from the init line and the configs. The second screen shows nearly the same, this time the editing of the weapons of the anti-air soldier. The screen should behave like the normal gear dialog. And if someone uses ArmALib, he can save the loadout and use it later on different units. Next step will be to add the ACE backpack for the ACE user.
Binkowski 26 Posted April 30, 2009 Hot damn iOnOs. RTE is getting amazing.

Col. Faulkner 0 Posted May 4, 2009 A General of the "regular forces" Are you going to mirror him so his jacket fastens on the men's side? Rebel forces leader This guy reminds me of the medic in "Hamburger Hill". :) Good job on making them in shirts (none of that silly body armour). Do their arms articulate OK when they are animated? itim_tuko 0 Posted May 4, 2009 (edited) Are you going to mirror him so his jacket fastens on the men's side? Good point, didnt see that but will rework him. This guy reminds me of the medic in "Hamburger Hill". :)Good job on making them in shirts (none of that silly body armour). Do their arms articulate OK when they are animated? Actially I made the rebel leader after Gen. Laurent Nkunda, the rebel leader of the biggest rebelgroup in congo. But youre right, he looks realy like Don Cheadle.Im working on some RPG soldiers and some MG Gunners now and then I will release the pack. max power 21 Posted May 4, 2009 That would be Coutney B. Vance, not Don Cheadle.
itim_tuko 0 Posted May 4, 2009 That would be Coutney B. Vance, not Don Cheadle. Ups, yeah youre right Doc Johnson was the character. @Col. Faulkner - you can take a look at my Philipino troops http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=71214 I havent seen any problems on them until now.
Neostralie 10 Posted May 6, 2009 Hi ther, for my first post, I'd like you to see the BMP3 i'm worling on. For now, it's only on 3DsMax and there is no textures but the UV are unfolded.
max power 21 Posted May 6, 2009 I likes it. Let us see a wire frame. It looks like you have a lot of detail on some round objects but not others. For instance, I think the wheels and hatches could probably use some more sides. Maybe also the search lights.
Neostralie 10 Posted May 7, 2009 Pouf, et voilà . The wired render of my BMP3.
max power 21 Posted May 7, 2009 Very nice. If you wish to have the crew turn out, you will have to create little recesses beneath the hatches. Most of the detail looks nice but I think the wheels, hatches, and large cannon barrel could look rounder, at your discression.
