The ultimate realism

I will be working on a mod that goal is 100% realism and an emerce effect. like when a bunch of people start shooting the place will get a little fogy from the smokes of their barrels and better and bigger explosions and as-well as making all building enterable and you can blow off pieces of them like in VBS1 improved engine. I will add a cold war nuke sub which is still used today as well as a navy seals sub which will not be difficult to create except the nuke sub. I will Change the position of the gun since it is not place realistically.

All this and more! i am new to modding so i will have help from experience modders but this project has not started in any way and the plan to deciding what to add is far from finished.

I will try to put some addons the people requested in the forum. not this forum the official one dedicated to addon request.

you should start making a dock container, a red brick like container.

As you are new it isn't much but compared to what you know today, it is the end of the tunnel.

I would see about joining up with solus and his slx mod. Your ideas sound very similar to his work.

if possible could u implement a feature where when a soldier is severely injured a medic cant heal him and instead he must move to a medical tent or something like that?huh.gif it was mentioned somewhere else by someone else, and i was totally blown away by this persons ingenius concept and believe it would add alot of realism.

well, if he only get enough of experienced modders to help him, I am sure someone will find a way to kill yourself with a USB device.

ummm... i will make a mod were if you die your computer malfunctions and then self destruct with enormous force. rofl.gif

I guess i can leave the death part out of it unless if you guys want it? all you need to do is buy a brick and when you die just do this banghead.gif

Actually i will i thought about that when i was watching insurgent videos.

Update: i will do work on the most important thing.

1. Improved AI. You will have a new command line "house to house" which will make them go to every house and go in it tactically like this

Their will be 5 or more additional command lines that will change their strategy like one of them i pointed out is "house to house" and the rest i have no name for it yet so it will be  "command line#".

"Command line 2" soldier would go to half of the houses and clear it as well.

"command line 3" they will go to 25% of the houses for cover when shooting enemy's instead of them walking in the open or between the houses.

"command line 4" basic walk between houses but it wont be like the original for example the automatic gunner will give suppressing fire while the soldiers run to a house for cover and they will stay in a column position behind the wall and the one in front will poke out and start shooting ext ext. This AI improvement listen in here is not especially for this command line the soldiers will still have the Improved AI tactics with any command line

"command line 5" this is for open areas improving AI tactics in open areas. and stop them from doing dum stuff that gets them killed.

Also the AI will no longer stay prone behind cover they will be either in a standing or crouching position and if bullets are whizzing between them they will run to the closest cover and return fire automatically without squad leader order. And the soldiers uniforms will be all not as organized looking. i am not sure if i should put this or not so please give me your guys opinions pls. To give an example of what i mean buy not as "organized" re look at the soldiers uniforms in this video

2. making this game more flexible by adding features to already existing objects

for instance you can now shoot in a car(including the driver, but that wont be smart to do that in the first place wink_o.gif ) This will be useful for an quick get away for example. You are a sniper and you snipe somebody and run away in a car.( you can shoot the gun with the door closed or open, in the open position you will turn your body facing that position.

You can walk in vehicles that have enough room to walk around. Like a  bomber plane that or carrier, you can take your seat belt off and walk around.(this may seem useless but when i release my vehicle pack it wont.

Next are the Abram's tank. You can get out of your seat in this tank of course. I will disable the radar and now you will have the tools available as a realife Abram's like the Abrams communication and  Built in GPS as well as some computer screen were the the GPS and communication feature will be in and if i can you will be able to search the Internet. Imagine you watching a porno while your bord in an Abram's in a basic patrol mission. This will be included in other armored vehicles.

And my vehicle pack will contain lots of vehicles for military flexibility.

Oh i will make sure in the mod i created that i will be recognized as the mod creator. i am going to be like Pharaoh Ramsey who made sure he was recognized as an important person. and my name is Ramzie so you now. rofl.gif

Fill free to give me more ideas and i might put it in my mod. wink_o.gif

Oh and when the IDF weapon form Israel is released as a mod i will include that but of course the AI cant Handle it.. that sucks crazy_o.gif  but hey at least we can use it biggrin_o.gif

I have not decided what name i will use for this mod so if you guys can give me some of your ideas that will be great.

Alot of ideas there that the engine simply is not capable of. Might want to read up on the capabilities of the engine before dropping the plans for the mod down on paper.

Unless you are some kind of uberscripter and can 'trick' the game into doing these things then you may need to overhaul the plans so far.

Actually I am planing on tricking the the game as somthing else for example the computer in the abrams will actually be a second scope that will show an image of the sorunding and the computer mointer( wich is actually a scope) And with help with experinced scripters i might be able to do it.

Anyways the AI improvement is possible and since a similiar project was done in ofp and arma is similiar to ofp engine so i might be able to do it.

Your ideas sound nice but seem very very difficult to complete. Have you heard of SLX? Im going to cry when both mods are released and dont work together. But im not sure if this would be a mod cuz this would require engine changes. Maybe you could also figure out a better name for the mod. Anyways best of luck!

True, you won't get an acceptable performance if you script everything to work around the engine limitations.

Also if you read some interviews, it takes something like 3 BIS artists a month of work to get one building that can be destroyed built (could almost build it in real life in the same time whistle.gif )

Thats easy enough, just have to wait until someone produces seated combat anims and vehicles with the correct geometry. But you do realise it will be as accurate as trying to shoot while running?

There is another possible method that allows for accurate fire, but that requires mounting the weapon onto the vehicle like a turret. Didn't work in OFP, so we will have to see if infantry weapon proxies are handled any differently in Arma.

I now this will take a long time to make so i am going to release part of it that i finished first like the Ai. (i have still not started yet in 1 or to 2 weeks i will start when my plan for the AI is complete.

I will just release the AI and then after that i Will release the vehicle pack which will make you able to walk around in the vehicle and shoot out of your window.This vehicle pack may contain extra vehicles but that is highly unlikely but sooner or later i will add vehicles to it. Based on the ofp i might need to re do all the vehicles to make this possible. Because in ofp there wasn't really a Inside it just simulated it so i might need to re do the inside of the armored vehicles

My third pack will add features to buildings for example you can blow a hole right in the middle of it. and  Better physics like when a bomb goes off it will explode more faster. I find arma explosions slow and a fast bang explosion can give you a realy cool experience and the dust in the air will stay and not disappear.

The forth will add vehicles and U.N soldeirs, british, insurgent all made by the community and not by me.

I might change some of these for performance reasons
