1.05 Slight Delay - Read News

BIS, you have time to waste to add some minor graphic changes on some vehicles, but you can't find time to fix this major bug...

You should probably understand more about how things work before you judge as this sharp. The people who could make the Ka50 cannon moving are different ones from those fixing minor graphical glitches.

Moreover, making Ka50 would require significant effort, as having control over gun aiming while driving the vehicle is not supported at all in the vehicle structure as we have it now in ArmA. This is a cost we paid for having the control code much cleaner and turrets more flexible than in OFP.

I was just wondering, does the new engine support a turret on a fixed wing aircraft now (Su34 gunner optics).

The Ah1 has a rotatable optic view for gunner, is this possible on the Su34, or is it fixed forward only?

Also let me say that i really like the support the community gets from you guys lately, big thanks as this was something i really missed before ( comment aimed at the last year mainly ).

There is a bug in the 1.04 version which I don't see in the fix list.

This bug cause a manned chopper (by a player and full with players) to crash when flying over the sea and under ~500 meters of altitude.

This is very true, it never happened in 1.02 but it happens all the time in 1.04 very annoying. mad_o.gif

You are correct, the fix is there but it was not properly documented. Adding into the changelog now.

Sorry Suma, it's true that I had no idea about the difficulty.

I was just quite annoyed by the fact that the Russian attack chopper isn't useable for now huh.gif

Btw, here is an easy temporary fix :  throw us a Hind  biggrin_o.gif

It's still good at attacking ground targets, it's just when it goes up against a chopper that has a seperate gunner who can aim the cannon.

Maybe if the gun could automatically track locked targets it would solve the problem, not sure if it's realistic but it's not easy for a single pilot to fly and aim the cannon at the same time.

Is setpos "UP" working again and do setpos getpos commands with height preference work aswell properly ?

So, I guess addons like Cassandra's X-31 experimental chopper and Philcommando's James Bond '79 Lotus Esprit are not going to come back? sad_o.gif

Although it is already it is too late,

I would like to ask again if "waypoints" includes a way of getting the current waypoint or if there is a new "GetCurrentWaypoint" command that just was forgotten in the log.

I apologize fully if there already exists a method for checking the current waypoint as of now (which I cant see).

Patch 1.04 to 1.05 is around 210 MB

All versions to 1.05 patch is around 475 MB

(when in zip files, sfx or 7z or rar can bring it even lower but not sure such option will be provided anywhere)

Have you considered releasing the patch as well using BitTorrent? I get the impression somehow that bandwidth for serving the patch will be an issue?

almost 500MB? that's a huge patch, in fact i don't remember a bigger patch. ever. but this game needs it.
