Man it isn't that hard. Do a little practice, you'll get used to it.

When i get the full game i will be doing just that. Although i don't know how my wifes going to react to that.

About the balance issue: That's all up to the mission editor. And I can't wait to fly that thing.

I'd like to know where we are supposed to operate it from, the SU-34 needs about 1200m to take off and around 900m to land, i'm sure the North dont have anything that big and PITA's soggy grass aint gonna help the undercarrage (it may help stop the 34 in a shorter distance though tounge2.gif )

Looks like the North and South are going to have to do a swapsee on their land rights whistle.gif

motocrosses wow_o.gif yay yay.gif

hope they are capable of climbing a 10 degree hill in terrain which they couldn't in ofp

but why are they so bad looking. looks like a 95 design.

I would like this type of design tounge2.gif

KTM450

not those collors tough but that shape.

Yeah about 3oz of drool fell out of my mouth when I saw the dirtbikes.  biggrin_o.gif

I think most militaries use dual sport (on road/off road) bikes instead of MX or XC bikes. I hope they spend some time making it close to realistic after they get most of the bugs squashed.

Thanks for posting the article!

The weapon handling/recoil, balistics, and vehicle damage were what I saw as lacking in the demo. BIS says they're going to fix them, and if they do, ArmA will be awesome.

There is no other game out there today with proper balistics or vehicle damage. It is absolutely needed in this game. smile_o.gif

Let's not reason from an apparent 'reworking' to 'proper' or 'realistic'. I have no doubt it will be an improvement, but to think that all your woes will be remedied by their revamped system sets you up for some pretty big dissappointments!

I don't think I'll be disapointed. The demo was just this close to good.

In advice, a perfect system would have: the apropriate ammount of bullet drop (seemed too little in ArmA); loss of velocity; yawing and tumbling (important to long range accuracy); a difference between ballistic bullets, tumbling bullets, and bullet schrapnel. smile_o.gif

All good news

Funny thing about the dirtbike was the addon that I wanted imported from OFP

The su-34... i think they are releasing it because they already had the model, cant say i will give it much use other than blowing it up or find it remotely fitting with the game though, su-22/25 or some older migs would make alot more sense.

Its too bad a mi24 or mi28 were not considered, one of these would really add to the game and fit very well sad_o.gif .

I look more forward to the anounced improvements and fixes then these not so usefull addons.

I don't get it, why the poor OPFOR has new and I'm sure also very expensive Su-34? biggrin_o.gif

Because everyone was complaining about the sides not being "balanced"... whistle.gif Yes who cares about realism, let's have a perfectly balanced game like BF2. icon_rolleyes.gif

I dont think this is anyones idea of BF2 balance Kyle.

Yes the Ak74 with PSO optic will balance the game (make it more fair to the east side), the su25 would be a better airframe to give east some air support and an mi28 would be a better helicopter than the Kamov << nobody cares about it.

Its not just about balance, its about units that make sense and fit the game's forces and above all are usefull for making missions with! Not just playing with the editor and take pictures of...

Im sure people will create addons but addons + MP = confused_o.gif .

Hi,

An Ka-50 rather than Mi-24 was already a strange choice for NS armed forces...

But now a Su-34! crazy_o.gif

Quote[/b] ]On 15 December 2006 Russia's Air Force received its first two newly built Su-34 Fullback bombers. A ceremonial handover of the Su-34s took place at the Chkalov Aircraft Production Association in Novosibirsk, in West Siberia. In attendance were Russia's Air Force commander, Army General Vladimir Mikhailov, and Sukhoi holding Director General Mikhail Pogosyan.

Mikhailov said Russia's Air Force needs about 200 Su-34s, which will be on active duty in the next 30-40 years along with modernized Su-24s, which are expected to be gradually replaced over the next 20 years. "In all, we need about 200 [su-34] aircraft," he said, "But at the same time, we do not want to replace the modernized Su-24[M] in the next two or three years, as the aircraft can be in service for 10-15 years. All of the Su-24s will be replaced with Su-34s in around 20 years."

I don't understand...  huh.gif

I think than cheap, good and reliable weapons from soviet era would be a better choice:

1- BMP-1

2- Mi-24D (Mi-25) - Mi-24V/P (Mi-35/P)

3- Mig-29A/C

4- Su-24M (Su-24MK) - Su-25A/K (Su-25T/TK)

Here's my wish.  wink_o.gif

What don't you understand? If they gave it any consideration

at all, presumably they hoped everyone would splurge in their

pants at the new uber-1337-super-pwning-Sucky-35

aeroplane (even if it flies in the game like a wardrobe on a

bungee and has almost no avionics whatsoever).   icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi,

I dont understand how NS armed forces could have such weapons.  smile_o.gif

A small third order country...

Then how are you going to have decent CTF, C&H, SC and CTI games with more than just infantry? Being "true" to the main background story is totally trivial when a good large scale game is the idea. You can play and/or make missions yourself that you would deem matching with the commies' empty treasury and the bottomless bank account of the yanks. Introducing more stuff is in no way out of your playing experience if you choose not to use them, but they may contribute to someone else's.

Soviet, it's just a new toy for people to play with until modders make addons.

Still, why not at least add anything that could fit into the games storyline?

Su-25 as airplane for example.

Anyway im glad to see they plan to improve so many things and i really really hope for a fixed campaign ( although i have my doubts... ).

Maybe because Su-25 would be in eventually with CWR?

That's probably why they aren't remaking all the OFP vehicles.

You are right: more = better for now.

After, modders will make practically everything what they want. wink_o.gif

But like Shadow NX said:

Anyways, I'm happy to see BIS listen the community and work to improve the game.  smile_o.gif

Thats a theory... but the su25 wasnt used in the 85 campaign wink_o.gif .

I think BIS might be short on artists (it would explain alot) and these extra aditions are work they already had more or less finished, i would trade them all for a hind/havok sad_o.gif .

-Soviet-

I'm not sure much of it has anything to do with what the community wants. I think that many of BIS's goals coincide with what the community wants, and they would seek to satisfy those goals whether it was on the forefront of the minds of the community or not.

Well why not, would save CWR work and give us a plane that fitst to the SLAs budget ( well actually a mi-15 would maybe more fit their budget in reallity tounge2.gif )

Somehow i cant think of any realistic missions where the tiny SLA army flies around with Su-34s :s

How about some T-84 OPLOTs or a few ZUBR Hoovercrafts for the SLA in the next update tounge2.gif

Anyway im glad we at least get new units along with the most important thing... a lot of fixes

Fake conflict, fake country. So, the budget is unlimited.:p Why split hairs over this!? I think it's good to get to play with newer toys. Especialy when CWR is going to fill in the older ones. smile_o.gif

To use advanced Sukhoi warplanes on such a small island as Sahrani is IMHO stupidity. Ppl would be much happier to see something they are able to control and enjoy seeing over their heads - like AH64 and Hind/Havoc...
