Loadout of 4 BLU Napalm, LAU-10 rockets and 8 x M2's in the nose. Version represented is the A-26A\B-26K type used to attack targets along the Ho Chi Minh trail in the late 1960's.

There will be an ACES-compatible version later. Addon is roundel compatible.

it's possible to have a ww2 version ? inlove.gif

Quote[/b] ]

Armament totaled 22 .50 cal machine guns and 6,000 round of ammunition plus an internal bomb load of 4,000 pounds. On missions up to 1,100 miles, an additional 2,000 pounds of bombs could be carried on hardpoints under the wings. Another option consisted of eight rockets and 165-gallon drop tanks to extend the range by 300 miles or eight more rockets in lieu of the drop tanks on short missions

A WW2 version (ie new paint scheme and weapon loadout) is planned.

The turrets are harder to do, and may have to wait until ArmA...

Some History about the Invader inlove.gif

The A-26 Invader was desiged as a natural successor to Douglas's A-20. Harnessing the power of Pratt & Whitney's new Double Wasp Radial Engine, prototype XP-26s were ordered by the USAAC in May 1941 in three different forms- one with a 75mm gun, a second with a solid radar nose and armed with a quartet of 20 mm forward-firing weapons, plus four guns in an upper turret, and the third with optical sighting eqwipment in the nose and two defensive turrets. the latter machine was ordered first as the A-26B, and it made its combat debut on 19 November 1944. Some 1355 were built, followed by 1091 C-models (which had a transparent nose housing navigational and radar bombing equipment). the invader enjoyed a more active post-war career with the USAF than andy of its twin-engined contermporaries, 450 B-26s (the Invader was redesignated in 1948 following the retrement of the last Marauders) seeing combat in Korea, whilst the French also used them in Indo-China. Following the Latter, Lead, the USAF employed converted On Mark B-26Ks in Veitnam too
