An Observation

Recommended Posts

The new shots on OFP2.info are awsome, but what really catches my eye is this one:

Pic

the miniguns on both sides of the Blackhawk could be an indication that there will be more than one weapon positions. Your thoughts...

BIS was tricking us the whole time by not showing us the other side of the chopper in older screenshots.

EDIT: I wonder if we can move around in vehicals?

If you read the scanned pages of the interview which can be found on ofp.info, you can read that walking around will be a feature in game 2. I doubt it will be a feature in ArmA, but who knows. But I don't think this is very important.

Just improve the looks, performance and remove the engine limitations and than I'm completely happy biggrin_o.gif

well hopfully Arma will have improved the clipping proplems (i belive its already been said its been eliminated) and the rest of the colation detection proplems we could possibly see some limited walking around in vehicles. Maybe for larger things like ships? possible large aircraft?

remembering old times, well and current;

I still (when im bored) spped up the time and run right through walls....then get stuck in the god damned closet or stove banghead.gif !

Back to topic, it will like the guy said up there, give addons a great new edge, i would love to see the M1A1 tank commander turn out and use the .50 cal.

and BIS always leaves cool secrets for us to find out by observing! gotta love those easter eggs...

your right but when moving we will be stuck againt the wall, unless seated like the BAS Chinnok, you can walk around and shoot out the back when the chinnok is in hold poisition but when flying you fall out lol.. unless your harness is on, with clipping fixed we would just get stuck againt the walls lol unless they produce the thing like vbs1 shooting/walking and such biggrin_o.gif

I don't want to be a partypooper, but one of the MG's could be a dummy.

Could be but I doubt BIS would be stupid enough to show two guns and have one one working.

All addons to this date, that I have seen... which have two guns (one is dummy) had the extra weapon in like a stowed position. These are clearly not like that.

However, that means absolutely nothing and is entirely subject to speculation. biggrin_o.gif

I just hope to the gaming gods that there can be multiple gunner possies... imagine a battleship with 20 guns or something, all pounding the beach at once, or a mech with 1,000,000 miniguns and rocket launchers blasting the island to kingdom come pistols.gifpistols.gifpistols.gifgoodnight.gif

And then running and jumping (imagining there was a jump button) out the back to paradrop back to to earth instead pressing the eject button and teleporting to the outside.

even IF there is support for 2 gunners on the helicopter doesnt mean it will be support for 2 gunners on tanks, cars and so on.

yeah, which is what i meant in an obscure round about way smile_o.gif either that or theres no anim for the rotors yet :P

Or if you have fast enough camera you can take pictures of flying choppers with seemingly static rotor blades, kind of like those pictures people have taken from flying bullets.

So i presume taking screenshots will do the trick of 'stopping them' and proves that there are no artificial rotor blurs in AA.

Not quite, you would see the blur effect in screen shots because it is in the picture it self, not "in your head" as in reality.
