Thanks Tex, I have been crying every night waiting to talk to you again! biggrin_o.gif Anyways I have got a story, not so funny, but amusing to me anyways.

My Uncle was drafted for the Korean war and was sent to Ft.Lenerwood(sp?) for Basic training. One night everybody was on a field drill and they were camping out. During the night I guess my Uncle had a dream and thought everybody had left, so he jumped out of bed and yelled to the guy in there with him they had to take their tent down and get out of there. Well they got out kicked it down and packed it up, only to find everybody was still there. wink_o.gif

Quote[/b] ]The army's powerful new armoured vehicles have proved they are fast – one has been given a ticket for doing 109km/h on State Highway 1.

A 15-tonne eight-wheel-drive LAV was pulled up just south of Taihape about two weeks ago.

Nathan Manzara, a Canadian test driver and customer support officer for LAV manufacturer General Dynamics, said a patrol car going the other way caught him on radar.

Snapped at 109km/h, he was 19km/h over the open road speed limit for heavy vehicles like the LAV. It cost him $120. The LAVs' top speed is governed – electronically controlled – at 110km/h.

Nice to know our NZLAVs are being put through their paces.

Quote[/b] ]Missile falls off CF-18 onto Yellowknife golf course

Last Updated Fri, 18 Jun 2004 17:50:18

YELLOWKNIFE - Yellowknife's golf course was shut down on Friday after an unarmed missile fell off a Canadian Forces CF-18 jet and landed on the driving range.

The jet was landing at a nearby airport when the AIM-7 Sparrow missile dropped off. Police closed an adjacent highway for more than an hour.

[source]

Pity it didn't land on the fairway... I'd have many more puns to choose from.

Well, they would have gone out with a bang. Mind you if a missile dropped in on me i'd shut down. I wonder if they'll take it to the 19th hole.

That gotta be the replacement program for the cancelled Comanche program. Judged by numbers it certainly wins  biggrin_o.gif

Comanche prototype cost : 2 Billion dollars

Abahachi prototype : 2 boxes of beers some neighbour with a saw and some whacko ideas about flight models.

Now that I wrote it I get a weird feeling  crazy_o.gif
