monkeyb 0 Posted March 15, 2006 Oh goody, more screens and a movie in may. What did we do to desrve such a treat, I must put the date in my diary. BIS have done bugger all to satiate peoples interest in the game, the last interview they gave consisted of mainly "possibly" "maybe" and "we are thinking about it" answers and was for all intents and purposes a waste of time. You would think that with the interest this game generated, and the community that has built up they would want to keep the pot bubbling away nicely. Instead all you get is a few screenshots and delayed release's. Here's to Xmas 2006, by which time they may just be designing the box art!
ziiip 1 Posted March 15, 2006 If ArmA will be at E3 it means they will not publish it till E3. Still hoping that fall release is untrue.
robert(uk) 0 Posted March 15, 2006 It still says H1 2006 here.. I guees they'll change it if the autum '06 release is true. Hmmm, interesting. I've never seen those 2 screenshots on the right before...
Leopardi 0 Posted March 15, 2006 Lol, they were released among the first pics of ArmA.
martinovic 0 Posted March 16, 2006 Quote[/b] ]new info(??):switching among groups in during mission (bad news for me) That sucks, would ruin the game for me completely. I'll wait and see if its confirmed but if i can switch between my soldiers and me during a mission then... Bleh, time to start looking for new games to play, just incase its true. Lol, if this is true, then ArmA is a piece of cake, and it wouldn't worth a dollar. I guess it's time to swap to GRAW.
-TL- 0 Posted March 16, 2006 To me, "switching among groups during mission" does not mean switching bodies, but rather, group leaders (so if you start as a member of group Alpha Black, you can join group Alpha Red mid-mission if you want).
Colossus 2 Posted March 16, 2006 here the uploaded articles:-> article 1 -> article 2 many thanks to spoock and SAIGOS for upload the pics. Raptor Is there anything in that article we didn't knew about before now? Or does it just contain "old" news

I thought the same, and im actually sure that it means that, come on, BIS isnt completely crazy!
Guest Ti0n3r Posted March 16, 2006 @ Quote[/b] ]Switching among groups during mission That has to mean that you'll be able to play as more than one solider during a mission. I mean, switching groups during a mission has been possible since June 2001. In my eyes it could be a welcome addition to Ofp. But if they use it in the campaign it would have to be done with style and in modest amounts.

Not as default, and if you did it as in ECP then you usually fucked a mission and could restart, i think that it is actually supported now (for example:when your squad is killed you dont have to run around on your own, but just join another group, or when you are too lazy to wlak you can join that group that has a truck, etc)
