Commando84 0 Posted March 12, 2006 tested the latest ffur 2006 modern war and it was really good, i especially liked how less laggy it was especially on nogova and i really got surprised by the satchel charge tic tac sound when i had put out a bomb and that was really cool! A.i was a bit different , like doing some more flanking maneuvers and stuff. only few things i discovered so far was that everything felt very undetailed graphics wise somehow. Also i don't get the ecp low altitude warning when i fly low. The main menu goes into fades all the time and that can be a bit annoying at times. yeah the arrow in the menus feels a bit to small making clicking stuff a bit harder especially as i run the game in pretty high resolution Also this was one of those few times that malden , everon and kolgujev lagged more than nogova Other than those so far i think this is something that i'll try get some friends to play with next time we have a major lan party going down. LeChuckle 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Quote[/b] ]The action that precedes the crash (what were you doing exactly in game when it happened. E.G, were you fighting against tanks? men? choppers? planes? or just running? Well once it happened as soon as i pressed preview and when it went into the game after the loading screen it crashed. Also i was playing MP without FFUR with the skypack and effects and i also got a CTD and no one else did. When i play ofp without the effects but with the sky idont appear to get a CTD I think it could have soemthing to do with the effects not totally sure thought on that. so how do you remove the effects? l etranger 5 Posted March 12, 2006 Does anyone know how to activate log file on Win32 dedicated Ofp Server? I think it would help us a lot.

456820 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Quote[/b] ]so how do you remove the effects? Simple goto where you installed the sky pack with the effects and remove the dta folder inside it this will get rid of the sky effects too, to get rid of the fire effects but keep the sky effects goto the newdata folder and take out all the effects used in the fire and smoke effects and leave the sky effects behing, then re install it. Quote[/b] ]Hmmm that bug was reported in FFUR 2005 too and I thought it was being fixed I thought you took the craters out thats why they dont appear in 2006
Bobcatt666 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Been able to play this a few times even more so in MP. too early to report more other than the already reported issues. Note the exploding aarmored vehicle scripts, the desing of most western made tanks keeps the turret on when destroyed. They are often bolted down oposed to eatern bloc tanks that the turrent is just kept held down by the weight of the turret. The Abrams MBT has a mmor magazine storage system that deflects the explossion of the main cannon ammo out the top of the turret away from the crews postion protecting them from the explossions. You ned an explossion on the magatude of a 500 lb bomb or direct hit from 155 mm he howizer to cause enough damage to the hull to break the turret ring/cage assembly. In sort west tanks launch turret scripts is unrealistic, and more arcadey, should have consulted KingHomer on the Abrams first. M60 and M48 also retain turrets when destroyed having used lots of them for target practice to demil them.. Seem M2A2s pop the turrets a few times, due to cook off ort AT weapons in the hull, and it being a thin skined APc.
Journeyman 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Hmmm that bug was reported in FFUR 2005 too and I thought it was being fixed  Now you know why I was asking TB to fix all his old packs when he has time!

Bad idea. I love those craters in ECP, and I didn't notice that FFUR had them until recently (I've only been using FFUR since testing a mission for somebody which requires most of the addons). If you can get the craters working bug free, and I hope you do, keep them. they're great Infact, they're on of the main reasons I got ECP 1.085.
action man 0 Posted March 12, 2006 The tank turrets blowing off all the time is ruining this mod It just not very real.

the_shadow 0 Posted March 12, 2006 yeah, the turret blowing of is something i´d like removed in the next patch... or even better, make it random with a very small possibility on west tanks and a bit higher on east tanks...
Commander-598 0 Posted March 12, 2006 I'm not sure if it's been mentioned(I read back several pages), but the way the light shines on the ground seems...fake...
dkell3 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Yep,extracted them to C:\Program Files\Codemaster\OperationFlashpoint\FFUR2006. When I click on the install.bat it opens and reads Error.pbo, press any key to continue.

l etranger 5 Posted March 12, 2006 Anyone, know how to have Logfile for WIn32 dedi server? It would help to resolve CTD, because right now it is unhostable..
XCess 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Red kite, I posted the same kind of pic on the last page. Thing is, it works fine in ECP so there should no problem making it work with FFUR.

I love the flying turrets addition, however I agree that it would be even better if they would fly with a probability of ~0.15. But this might be difficult to code indeed
