Dingmatt 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Anyone having a good picture (at least 512x256) of the Stargate Command symbol as well as one showing a Goa'uld symbol (do they even have one, otherwise a popular one everyone knows it represents the Goa'ulds)?edit: found another possible bug within RC4: I just cleaned up my addons folders a bit and now if I want to place the DHD or any kind of Stargate on the editor map I can place it but I don't see the symbols/icons anymore. If I copy the very old version (SG_DHD.pbo, wasn't that 1.1?) to my addons folder I see the symbols again. So it seems RC4 cannot live without the outdated Stargate mod (at least not show the symbols). That could mean that anyone who has a clean OFP version and installs the latest Stargate mods only might not be able to work with the editor anymore. Hopefully this can be fixed with the next version. We have said time and time again that 1.2 needs either BxBx's orignal, the DSF 1.1 or walmis' gate to run. That's why I wrote possible bug. Since you changed a lot of code in 1.2 I thought the old mod was no longer needed. Landorin 0 Posted March 12, 2006 New bugreport for RC4:I just created 3 gates: P2X-525, Earth (all with "namedgate.sqs" in their init line) and one custom gate named Alpha-Site (created with the following init line: [this,"Alpha-Site",[3,7,21,25,26,34],4] exec "\DSF_SG_DHD\sqs\CreateIdentity.sqs"). Now if I preview the mission and access the database, all gates have similar chevrons, especially the last one (before the 3rd gate was added its adress was different). Look here: http://home.arcor.de/Landorin/error1.jpg Also, Earth is no longer named Earth and instead it's P something (current). When clicking on Alpha-Site I get the following error: http://home.arcor.de/Landorin/error2.jpg The gate rotates for a moment and then remains idle and nothing happens anymore. Dialing the predefined gate (2nd entry) it works normally. I remember someone mentioning a similar bug when using a custom gate adress. By the way, DSF_NOWORM = 1 was correct, Deepsmeg. If you put in the init line it disables the wormhole animation (after you entered the gate), quite useful if you have to walk through it several times when testing stuff out in the editor for example. I investigated this a bit further: Since I thought the custom named gate creates the problem I changed Alpha Site to Tollan and PX something to Abydos (though this one wasn't custom but I just did it anyway) and used namedgate.sqs for creation, so all 3 were created that way: Earth, Abydos, and Tollan. Now I have all 3 listed correctly regarding the name in the dial computer database. However, if I click on the first or second entry, it will dial Earth itself (the 1st entry). If I dial the third entry it will dial the 2nd entry. Also, the adresses seem to randomly change on each start or load (within editor) of the mission although this should only occur for unnamed gates according to the readme. To make it easier to reproduce this possible bug and to see what I mean, download this: http://home.arcor.de/Landorin/sgctest.zip Oh, and while testing I found out that you should not shutdown or reset the gate while it's still dialing or you will mess it up so let it finish dialing first. boo-dro 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Ive got a database bug. I've set up three pre-set gates. Cimmeria, Earth, and Juna. If I enter the database, and select Juna, the dialing computer auto dials up Cimmeria's glyphs, and connects to Cimmeria. If I select Cimmeria, It still dials Cimmeria. HOWEVER, If I manually dial Juna's glyphs from the Dialing computer (without looking in the database), it works, and I travel to Juna. Weird. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
