Balschoiw 0 Posted June 15, 2005 As a hardcore OFP fan for years I always wondered why there were no merchandising initiatives from BIS. In my opinion there is a big demand for merchandising, be it coffee mugs, T-Shirts, mousepads, whatever... I know Avon set up something like that, but her stuff was just too crappy imo. Maybe you can take a new approach on that with OFP 2. Even if BIS isn´t willing to do it on their own for workload reasons, I guess some company in the Czech republic or elsewhere should be able to produce and trade those goods in a license agreement. If BIS is willing to share some of their artwork I bet it would be a nice thing to have for OFP fans and certainly there would be some money to be made for BIS also I´d be their first customer. So....maybe you take this into consideration as the train was missed with OFP 1 already. Give us something we can wear with pride, besides the black "Operace Flashpoint 1996-2001" - T-Shirt I already own
gandalf the white 0 Posted June 15, 2005 lookie I'd kill for posters like that . Oh, and wearing the poncho at parties would really make me hot with the gir... maybe not... a Tshirt would be nice .maybe even something with emblems (flashpoint logo, czech flag, ranks) you could saw on them
hellfish6 7 Posted June 15, 2005 A lot of sites use CafePress.com for merchandising... might be an easy solution.
Necromancer- 0 Posted June 15, 2005 Organising airsoft skirmishes with missions based on the missions in OFP 2?
PainDealer 0 Posted June 15, 2005 a kick ass promo t-shirt! I'd buy one without any hesitation! maybe one with a recruiting ad on the back I want YOU to join the OFP veterans at you local store when the sequel's out!
scars09 9 Posted June 15, 2005 there is a black shirt??? damn, now im envious. I got the beige with green letters and wear it always with a good feeling, it was good quality shirt, but you see the years on it. I also own 2 Operation Flashpoint, 2 sided printed posters, i framed them nicely, one in bedroom, one in kitchen. So BIS should really think about this. I surly buy it! One thing i personally would appreciate are high quality posters of units and/or equipment. maybe a little in direction art not just screenshot (job for Parvus f.e.) (hl2 had a series of framed pictures, if i could stand gordon freemans face, i would have bought them) P.S: Balschoiw, bavarian battlesmurf, do you have any special security systems at your house or your wardrobe that i should know off? damn i want a black shirt bye Scars09
Colossus 2 Posted June 15, 2005 I will even travel to Prague to get a t-shirt or a poster.. or a flashlight. Got some for sale at the office, Placebo?
Balschoiw 0 Posted June 16, 2005 Quote[/b] ]P.S: Balschoiw, bavarian battlesmurf, do you have any special security systems at your house or your wardrobe that i should know off? Hehe I got a good perimeter alarm system, 500 Watt lights on motion tracking around the house and a dog (well not really dangerous) and some other mobile "we deal with intruders" thingies inside the house. You know, it´s worth defending, isnt it ? By the way placebo, is there still any merchandising stuff available ? I know of the Codemasters shirts that were given away for some promotional things, but is there any way to aquire OFP merchandising products right now ? I guess the CafePress.com is not really great quality. It´s just some transfer art with no high technical quality. Maybe we should team up with the guys from the photo-thread to get some real mindblowing motives for the shirts. I also can imagine a basic polo-shirt with stiching ? on it. I like high quality products and OFP or OFP 2 should definately be more representative in my wardrobe. I think of stiched jackets, no bomber jackets, but just black casual jackets or sweatshirts, or maglights with the OFP printing, or watches...damn the list is endless. I guess there really could be made a buck with it if the quality is good. I still would die for the different OFP ads they had in their office, but unfortunally big , bad Placebo took it ! Anyway I guess it´s worth a thought. Don´t leave it up to the publisher but do it on your own or direct it to a company that is in your reach and has the ability to transfer the OFP spirit on products. I would appreciate that very much and I guess I´m not alone.
shadow 6 Posted June 16, 2005 Yeah, I could use more merchandising. A friend and I got the last two of the black t-shirts a year and a half ago. Never worn it. Its wrapped in a plastic bag along with one of the camo-pattern CM/OFP t-shirts (bought two of them). Things like coffee-mugs, key-rings, mousepads, mice, keyboards, ashtrays, t-shirts, pants, sweatshirts, jackets and a framed picture of placebo's shaven legs are stuff that would sell like hot cookies ...well maybe not the framed picture...but the rest. Placebo 29 Posted June 16, 2005 Got some for sale at the office, Placebo? Unfortunately pretty much the last remaining merchandise was used for the mission editing competition

shadow 6 Posted June 16, 2005 I gotta hand it to Paul. You must have the most famous legs in the whole OFP community
Heatseeker 0 Posted June 16, 2005 I would proudly wear a BIS t-shirt, always liked their logo for some reason .

BTW, nice legs
Antichrist 0 Posted June 16, 2005 Definitely need ArAs and "game2" related merchandising. I need new mouse pad and several t-shirts at least. And lay off black-only t-shirts. I'd rather see a pink one than black one... Seriously though, do some khaki ones, some camo ones (use various real-life patterns) and whatever decent looking colour you can find. As long as it is not black. And put some effort into it. Not just a small logo on the back. Some vehicle and weapon pictures etc.
Sch1sm 0 Posted July 20, 2005 I like this idea very much, i have been searching for official OFP merchandising for over a year now and have yet to find any UK suppliers of this hard to item and i must say in all honest it's disheartening that i can't wear a t-shirt dedicated to the game that brought me firmly into the PC age. Has anyone a spare t-shirt?
Sch1sm 0 Posted July 20, 2005 just do-it-yourself. That's very nice, so i take it that yourselves delved into your own pockets and produced unofficial OFP t-shirts? Very nice indeed, i may look into producing one myself care of the Avon Lady if possible although i really am not liking the fact it's not legitimate. Oh well, if needs must. It would be nice if someone designed a fan made OFP t-shirt for the 5th anniversary.
bn880 5 Posted July 20, 2005 Placebo, you get us some Snow globes with OFP2 action happening inside, I'll order one, promise. Yes, I'm still insane. (desert and winter options plz.)
Sch1sm 0 Posted July 20, 2005 I wonder if they'll produce plush Marek Spanel dolls for everyone to snuggle up to at night, or a General Guba mask for halloween, or maybe just Placebo. The community should make a t-shirt for everyone, depicting the best of OFP. Would certainly fill a hole in my heart.

HotShot 0 Posted July 20, 2005 lookieI'd kill for posters like that . Oh, and wearing the poncho at parties would really make me hot with the gir... maybe not... a Tshirt would be nice .maybe even something with emblems (flashpoint logo, czech flag, ranks) you could saw on them Does anyone know if this is still on sale? Either as a whole or individually? It sounds from Placebo that it isn't anymore from BI, but does anyone know if they sold it through anyone else who may still have it? xnodunitx 0 Posted July 20, 2005 If I were to get a Tshirt I'd like the OFP logo on it along with a T-80 and a M1A1 on opposite sides of the shirt. Then again an M16A2 sounds good too but I don't think the military would be too happy about them sellin that stuff.
