Guest RKSL-Rock Posted July 14, 2005 Quote[/b] ]http://www.rkslstudios.info/images/combatphot/IMG-Highstrike.jpg Great , pitty it never came into service though. yeah I had the same thing. and its called GR4 aswell! Â Really cool aircraft, allthough your making a modern day variant? RKSL needs to give some more intel for us normal ppl! Â Sorry for the delay...had checked the thread for a while. Yeah I'm updateing the prototype airframe to the "probable" configuration that would be used had it come into service. I've had quite a bit of cooperation fromthe RAF Museum Archives at Hendon and Imperial War Musum at Duxford. Â They were helpful in providing me with scale drawings of the updated airframes when the updates were considered in the 70's 80's Quote[/b] ]Strangely, in 1981, the then Conservative government briefly looked at reviving the TSR.2 programme. This got as far as looking at possible modifications to bring it up to date (Tornado style intakes, modern electronics, extensive use of carbon fibre construction to lower the weight and so on) before the project was once again returned to the grave....As it turned out, the Tornado became more or less what the TSR.2 was to have been. That it was still slightly less capable than the TSR.2 had been projected to be a full fifteen years earlier says a great deal about how far advanced the TSR.2 project really was. That the TSR.2 was all-British (bar some electronics) and the Tornado required the cooperation of three countries also says a great deal about just how good the British aircraft industry was. Source: ThunderandLightnings.co.uk Essentially I'm doing: GR4 Version - larger loadouts than the equiv Tornado in Anti-Shipping - 4x Harpoon (ext), 2x Sea Skua (Internal), 4x ASRAAM (Ext) SEAD - 6x ALARM (ext) 4x Maverick (2xExt 2x Int) - 4x ASRAAM (Ext) Anti-Armour - 4x BLU755 (Int) 12x Brimstone (ext), Â 2xPaveway II (Int) StandOff - 4x Stormshadow Nuclear - 4x Bluewater ASM. GR4A Version - Recon Loadouts with airframe mods to hold cameras etc GR4B Version - Different Radome, Intakes and engines F3A Version - Basically a larger faster tornado F3, better radar etc Long range CAP/Interceptor - 6x AMRAAM, 4x ASRAAM F3B Version - same as above but with different engines and intakes Long range CAP/Interceptor - 6x AMRAAM, 4x ASRAAM So sit tight and when i get my website back up i'll post more info. Messiah 2 Posted July 18, 2005 Parvus... i can hopefully safely say that the reasons for the choice of BIS's weapons was to allow users to decide what their favourite weapons are and use them with the troops... although i hope you're not saying the ukf weapons are bad - lol great pics fella... as always
Parvus 0 Posted July 18, 2005 hi Messiah thx and i see - np for me; lazy as i am, i took BIS weapons ... a bad decision cos your units looks so good => they have earn better weapons. Suchey&Earls weapon pack f.e. Â ... greetz
