    Shooting in FFUR 2007

Where did you hit them, and with which weapon? I've never tried the new release of FFUR, but the weapon values in previous versions of FFUR and WGL have always seemed great to me.

    The Average American?

Well, I am an American, and just this week in my hometown, two guys definately lowered the standard of the average American: Yahoo! News In my opinion a lot of Americans can be ignorant and stupid, but there are also a lot that are very smart individuals. The problem is, you never hear about them, and you hear about "Jared" who lights his crotch on fire

    What are you guys reading?

I'm reading through All Quiet on the Western Front again, although it's old, it sure is good.

He he, I had an army man game, where you could play TDM against another person, and you got to select where to place your AI soldiers, and it was so much fun

Ah, well I should have mentioned it's a fairly compact camera, I'd like to be able to just have it with me in a pocket or bag, without worrying about scratching the LCD.

I've recently purchased a new digital camera, not anything too special, but I want to make sure to protect the LCD screen on it. Do any of you use a specific brand of screen protectors? There sure are a lot to choose from, and I'm not sure which ones are the best

    Good revolver addons

The American Civil War Mod has a few revolvers, as does the House Divided Mod. I'd definately recommend trying those packs out.

    Mount Suribachi's Famous Picture

Following WWII it was under US control until it was returned to Japan in 1968 according to Wikipedia.

    Mount Suribachi's Famous Picture

The old flag only had 48 states back then, we need to update to not leave Alaska and Hawaii out today

    Mount Suribachi's Famous Picture

I just saw that there's video of the flag raising from Wikipedia captured by a camera man standing right next to the photographer who snapped the famous photo. Very interesting, I never knew it existed. (Note that the video is in OGG format, I found the codec for WMV here) Another random fact (although it appears today's random fact has already been claimed by messiah) - The famous photo is actually the second flag raising on Mt. Suribachi, the first was a much less dramatic photo: However, my random fact isn't nearly as interesting as the previous Some very cool stories surrounding the event: Full story Another from Wikipedia: ----EDIT---- Dug up some more info: It appears that there's a memorial that marks the spot on Suribachi: Although it can't be seen in that picture on the right side it says: So I suppose if you were to try to find the location you'd find a way to get to Iwo Jima, climb Mt. Suribachi, and find that marker.
  13. Oh sure, definately. However, one thing it does illustrate is that bayonet is still not completely useless.

    Demo today....WOOT

I hate to say it, but after playing the demo, I'm disappointed as many of you are too. I suppose my computer isn't top of the line, but I thought I would at least be able to run ArmA at a decent level. For my computer at: 3.0 Ghz P4 1 GB RAM 256MB Geforce 6200 I ended having to decide whether I wanted to play at an unplayable frame rate at normal level or wanted to have a smooth frame rate at low, where it is impossible to see any enemies due to the extremely low LODs. The computer I own isn't top of the line at all, but I definately thought I would be able to run ArmA decently. I don't like to complain, but I am disappointed with ArmA at the moment It's all still fine though, I've still got OFP
  15. Attaching your bayonet to your IBA makes you look cool, and you can take plenty of pogue ass "Cool Guy," pictures with them, but it would be a sad day in hell when you jump from the humvee and someone shouts, "FIX BAYONETS!" I'd rather beat someone to death with my E-Tool anyways, you can hit them just right on the neck and either decapitate, or almost decapitate. You can apply a decent amount of pressure under the chin and "POP!" head comes off. One time we saw this guy from Psyops who strapped a dagger to his boot, but we all made fun of him. The Army also has a TM on how to arrange your Barracks funiture. So what? *edit* I think the only reason we were issued Bayonets is because the armorer had them and needed to clear out the Arms room anyways and he didn't want to take a crate of them with him while he sat on his ass and got fat at Camp Victory. I don't know what you guys are doing, but the Brits are using them Full Story
