llauma 0 Posted January 19, 2005 I can't come up with a bigger list but the Dawn of War intro movie is the coolest ever.
Shadow NX 1 Posted January 19, 2005 Ring of Red for Ps2 had a simple but fascinating intro, WW2 footage of assaulting troops combined with giant mechs who march with them... weird but looked pretty cool
Chip 0 Posted January 19, 2005 Red Alert. That was awesome.
D34N 0 Posted January 20, 2005 Which Version of the FL Movie, the Alpha one before the game or the final one? Edit: Watch the Alpha Version here (Has nothing to do with the game since it was edited for final)
sanctuary 19 Posted January 20, 2005 Recently, some awesome CG intro movies hit my eyes There are 3 CG intro movies from Lineage 2 , they are really wondefull. those can be found in this website (look for the word cinematic to recognize them on that page) On the same genre, the downloadable CG intro movie from the World of Warcraft game is awesome too. You can find it from there I play none of those games, but their CG intro are really superb.
llauma 0 Posted January 20, 2005 By the way, here's the intro movie for Dawn of War. It's much better in fullscreen but it gives you the hint.
kegetys 2 Posted January 20, 2005 this is quite exceptionally good for being 11 years old (1994), but so is the whole game.
wolfbane 0 Posted January 20, 2005 World of Warcraft
Messiah 2 Posted January 20, 2005 have to agree with the command and conquer/red alert series as they are still hard to match when it comes to intros/cutscenes
crashdome 3 Posted January 20, 2005 Project: Firestart Quote[/b] ]The memorable thing about Project: Firestart is the atmosphere. Creatures will appear out of nowhere, cut-scenes, while few, are very well-done, and violence and gore abounds. Tovarish 0 Posted January 20, 2005 I think I'll have to jump on the Red Alert bandwagon
DracoPaladore 0 Posted January 20, 2005 I'll have to go for the Dawn of War one too, as well as Rome and Red Alert. The one for City of Heroes is pretty cool too.
killswitch 19 Posted January 20, 2005 Fallout 2 intro - very well done and set the mood of the game just perfectly.

tkkivi 0 Posted January 20, 2005 Fallout 2 intro - very well done and set the mood of the game just perfectly. I'll have to agree with that! "Hind" has a great intro too, it was excellent considering that the game is allready, like 9 years old.
Winters 1 Posted January 20, 2005 Starfleet Command 2 & Metal Gear Solid are a couple that come to mind.
kavoven 4 Posted January 20, 2005 First: OFP The Freelancer one was pretty good, but just in english, in german it sounded strange... Splinter Cell wasn't that bad either, altough that part 2 one is worse. And the video of G-Police was really cool(all the videos in that game where cool) *Checking games...* Ah, I can add Ralley Trophy as the last good one I remember. Artak 0 Posted January 20, 2005 Red Alert is definitely the most memorable.
Harnu 0 Posted January 20, 2005 I don't play many games, but the ones I do I play a lot. So my vote would go to the AoE intro's. I just really like the fight sequences and such.
shadow 6 Posted January 20, 2005 Jane's Longbow 1 & 2 and Gunship! Pretty much anything where a Apache plays the leading role and wins Like the mood in Longbow 1 alot. Calm and easy music while looking at a convoy moving slowly in a canyon. Then suddenly two Apaches bopping their FCR over a hilltop scanning the area. Music picks up pace while the Apaches engage the convoy. Also love the part in the LB2 intro where there's a guy closing the hatch on a SA-8(?) right before a Hellfire hits Also like Far Cry's intro where you see pretty much the whole game in fast backward and forward motion with a dreamy effect. Lots of other nice intros for games. Too bad there are practically no rewarding endings worth a mention. Seems like its all about selling your product. As soon as you've bought it you're not earning the publishers any more money so they don't bother putting as much work in the ending.
