SWIFT88 0 Posted April 7, 2006 Nah, cmon swift, you know its true that we specifically stockpile complete and bugfree addons for no reason at all. Â Seriously, "Ben", your comments show just how ungrateful, inconsiderate and downright rude a regrettably large section of the "community" can be. To be honest, it does make me question why i continue to work on projects for this sort of show of appreciation. Â i know why.... because we get to beta test things, which from the looks of things Ben has ruined for the rest of the community from doing!
Benthenoob 0 Posted April 7, 2006 nah its not that i dont apreciate your work its just seeing the images and wanting to use them and not wanting to wait
biggerdave 56 Posted April 7, 2006 The reason they haven't released it yet, is because, as any modder will tell you... IT AIN'T FINISHED!
uscg pilot 12 37 Posted April 7, 2006 that which was posted above gives the rest of us in flshpoint whp respects modders and or mod themselves a very bad name and soemtimes can possibly ruin soem very awesome addons from (i can say this becuase i talk to a very talented puk:f member pathy and hes one of the coolets guys i know) from soem very awesome guys and it just peeves them off from doing sumthing they do for fun and leisure( sometimes ) back on subject you guys and your addosn look better and better every day cant wait to play with your snatchs yea i said it
-HUNTER- 1 Posted April 7, 2006 The 50cal from various UKF sign's... How far has that progressed, because Ive seen first shots like a year ago or so? It looked really well and Im curious will it be long? Not wanting exact dates, but well is it in beta testing for instance? I hope you guys release the rovers soon, especially the snatch rover will be greaaat. Not only the desert one but also the green ones for northern ireland kinda things! SWIFT88 0 Posted April 7, 2006 i wont post a release date, but be assured that we've know figured  out a solution (well, when i say we, I actually mean killswitch) to fix the MP problems these vehicles were experiencing. Once we implement that last few fixes then they'll be put to our external testers, and then released pending everything being ok.that process could take 2 weeks, or 2 months. I just don't know  sorry to put this to you but
Messiah 2 Posted April 8, 2006 our signature pictures are a little missleading perhaps... but lets put it this way - to create a screenshot of an addon, all it requires is 1 LOD and a basic config... is that complete then? no... The support weapons work as static weapons, but we're still implementing the scripts to make them portable. The snatches work fine in SP, but cause CTD in MP due to some of the scripting... these are obviously far from complete. 'benthenoob' - search for UKF on some of the news sites and guess what... there's that stuff we never seem to release
stevevcb 3 Posted April 8, 2006 Come off it lads. You finished the Chally 2, Snatch and CVR(T)'s in 2002, but you're not releasing them out of spite. Also, Chris was the sniper on the grassy knoll, Swift killed Martin Luther King, and Benny was the guy who shot Abraham Lincoln
ade_mcc 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Quote[/b] ]i think the only stuff u got left to do is some arial units and are they planed ? Yeah, come on PUKF, where are your supposive arial unit? Edit: Oh, you meant aerial. Question still stands. Seriously. Back on topic, units look great lads. Dont rush these things.
sniperuk02 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Also, Chris was the sniper on the grassy knoll, Swift killed Martin Luther King, and Benny was the guy who shot Abraham Lincoln I knew it! An addon might look finished on the outside but all the boring parts like lods, scripts and configs arent finished and those take the longest to do.
Imshi-Yallah 0 Posted April 8, 2006 I heard that UKF were really alien Lizard Creatures that eat babies...do you like my new shellsuit? Ahem, back on topic, I think people need to realise that if UKF released unfinished crap the community would have a whole lot of just that unfinished crap. Which isnt actually what you all wanted in the first place.
Daniel 0 Posted April 8, 2006 I don't see what all the fuss is about, UKF have and still do release loads of quality addons.
Messiah 2 Posted April 8, 2006 kooky has a point... we've actually not been working on any addons for the last 3 years and have been playing with VCB and all those lovely addons you can see... bottom line, when its done, its done, and it'll be released when 1. We're happy to, and 2. If we want to
Benthenoob 0 Posted April 8, 2006 i know u lot may not want to hear from me cos of my last posts which i now apologise for but are you going to make areal units and landing/transport ships and the bedford trucks or the ammo transport trucks with the sliding backs
Harmed 0 Posted April 8, 2006 If you have been to our website (www.project-ukf.com) you may have seen us advertise for a new scripter to come aboard (our old scripter seems to have dissapeared of the planets surface)  We have many great addons that are currently in need of a scripting genius to work his/her magic on.  If you believe you have what it takes (or you know of someone that has) to join Project UKF, then send me or any of the UKF guys a pm or email with some examples of your work. Thanks Jeff  (edit) This is no April fools by the way  Maybe it sounds a bit odd, but could it be, that he isn't with us anymore?
Pathy 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Who knows? As said, our old scripter just disappeared off the face of the earth If anyone is interested, the position is still open.
SWIFT88 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Who knows? As said, our old scripter just disappeared off the face of the earth  If anyone is interested, the position is still open. and that means that we need some-one that actually can do configs! We have more than basic knowledge on Configs, however it does getting annoying when it comes to the technical areas! Therefore we need some-one whom is a config wiz-kid... Messiah 2 Posted April 8, 2006 i know u lot may not want to hear from me cos of my last posts which i now apologise for but are you going to make areal units and landing/transport ships and the bedford trucks or the ammo transport trucks with the sliding backs we have no plans for aerial or naval units at this point in time as we feel there is still enough projects in the land warfare sector to concentrate on. FLK, Footmunch, RKSL and a few others have provided the community with ample air and naval units. the bedford 4 tonners are planned, and we may do the 8 tonners too (transport trucks) but nothing deffinate. tankieboy 0 Posted April 8, 2006 the ammo transport trucks with the sliding backs Demountable Rack Offload and Pickup System (DROPS)? Would be nice as an ammo supply for an AS90 eh.
Benthenoob 0 Posted April 8, 2006 the ammo transport trucks with the sliding backs Demountable Rack Offload and Pickup System (DROPS)? Would be nice as an ammo supply for an AS90 eh. Â yer thats what i meant with things like this there could be brilliant missions made and which trucks are the 4 tonners and which are the 8 tonners
Messiah 2 Posted April 8, 2006 8 tonners are the drops vehicles, 4 tonners are the troop vehicles
Benthenoob 0 Posted April 8, 2006 8 tonners are the drops vehicles, 4 tonners are the troop vehicles one would be good but both would be amazing and with the drops they could be the support units e.g fuel ammo..........
the_shadow 0 Posted April 8, 2006 DROPS aka HOOKLIFT on civilian trucks wouldnt it be a pain to script that for OFP?
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted April 8, 2006 8 tonners are the drops vehicles, 4 tonners are the troop vehicles DROPS is a 15-tonner on a 8*6 Foden or Leyland chassis, for carrying long-paletted, racked or container loads. 8-tonners are 4*4 Bedford TM chassied vehicles and carry any old shite you can fit on them like the 4-tonners do. jtec 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Did actually start on the Beddy but we have been working hard to get current work out, as the guys stated we REALLY need a scripter. Here is a very very early screen of the work which was carried out. I do believe this is the old model too, think i made a new version (but cant seem to find it as my computer is a mess)
