Bayonet animation on a rifle

Recommended Posts

Hey

I've heard about weapon animation and I was curious if it would be possibly to have a bayonet deploy, via animation on a Rifle. I've talked to a few people said it can't be done...then they told me to post something here about it so thats why i'm here!

If it can be done, then i'm going to animate a bayonet on my SKS :-D

If someone makes a decent animation for a bajonet attack then its no prob to define this as some kind of close combat attack

There is problem using new animation for bayonet attack with specific gun. You can only replace standard strokegun animation in central config but it will works for all rifles include rifles without bayonet.

I was experimenting few months ago with new animations for Sa-58 with bayonet and didn't find solution sad_o.gif

I wish you good luck because I have an sks with a bayonet and it would be awsome to play around with in OFP.

Wow! Awesome! I hope that after the release of these troops/landrovers/bayonets that perhaps you'll also help othe rmod teams use that bayonet system. It would be really nice for example to see the BAS troops with bayonets (or Earl & Suchey's Marines) along with some Russian infantry with bayonets. smile_o.gif

At any rate that video was just amazing. Do the AI use the bayonets or is it mainly for players? Either way I think it looks incredible. The only criticism I might have from the video is that it looks like they're kinda stabbing a bit low (like at the victims legs) so perhaps if possible they should stab a bit higher? That's just a minor quibble...I'm happy that they're stabbin' at all. smile_o.gif
