Blackdog, the M240 (ie FN MAG) he spoke of is not in the M.A.P., unless Earl tucked it in there without mentioning it in the read me.  

Sry for OT but if there is a Earl's M240 i would definetly like to try it out, were can i find it .

U could put a couch on the back of the hummvee for SF operation units.

I don't think this would be "Standard issue" it's more like a custom job..

I would like to see a hummve on "safe" mode with the gunner in the passaenger seat instead of manning the gun.I wonder if this is possible or if it's even been done before...Even when the mode is set to "careless" he still mans the gun position..

I rarely get excited (or even interrested) in unreleased addons. but it's safe to say this does both.. can't wait.

Btw: sorry if it's been asked but I have not got enough time to trawl back 15 pages, What type of trucks, if any, are you going to make? I am no expert, but I beleive a medium truck between hummer and HEMTT is in use, much like the 5T in ofp at the moment. Nickname "big foot" I beleive. Anyways, good job.

There's the Army FMTV (Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles). They come in two flavors, LMTVs and MTVs. The Light Medium Tactical Vehicle is 2.5 tons and replaces the old M35A2 deuce and a half. The Medium Tactical Vehicle series replaces the M989 (?) 5-tons (like the default 5-ton in OFP) and is essentially the same vehicle as the LMTV, but longer, wider and a bit more powerful.

Edit: there's also the Marines' MTVR (Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement) which is actually a 7-ton vehicle.

Supah, no need to be rude, I know you hate me and all so it probably comes out automatically but I knew only of M249's made by Earl, figured he had made a mistake, and 'corrected' him incorrectly (yet also correctly as his M249 was originally for the Marine Assault Pack). So I was indeed informed of something starting with M24* but had no idea Earl had made an M249.

So anyway! What variants of the M151 will CBT doing? Minus the original M151 as it's the same as the A1 minus turnsignals, I can think of (including prototypes because they are just so cool):

XM151 (looks more like an M38A1 but retains grille style)

M151A1 w/ Summer Top (in country, they folded up the back of the top)

Insert the same versions as above minus summer top, armor kit, recoiless rifle [replace with TOW and TOW carrier jeeps], nuclear bomb, and minigun... in camoflagued desert and woodland variants. Each US base had different camoflague patterns for their later jeeps, ex tropical, woodland, desert)... the list goes on...

• Flatfendered models of the M151 used two window tops, the A2 used one window tops.

• Each basic M151 could also have a version with a strobe/warning light and convoy follows sign (convoy escort) - could just make all the versions with just the lights, and then the mission maker can add either an MP sign or a convoy sign)

• Some Army guys in Vietnam had gunjeeps (armor kits). The armor was homemade, and they all looked different. Some had quad M60's, some had one gun two guns etc.

• Hood numbers should be random...

• USMC versions have fording kits and different numbering

And what troops will the HMMWVs use? BIS, Hyk, or will you make a new variant?

Will the TOW HMMWV be using MCAR? And is there an Avenger HMMWV planned/made?

damn...i didnt mean to start a 3 page debate...

anyway, if theres time please include a M-60 armed version, ive been playing w/ the HYK '85 and '91 soldiers alot lately, so im on kind of an 80's kick, especially w/ Psykke's 80's era Soviet soldiers coming out soon.

one of the things i love about COMBAT! mod is their thoroughness in getting out all the paint jobs and variants, not just the hot new modern ones. Your addons are great!

Since im on my 80's kick, i am eagerly awaiting your Sherridan.

Are there any plans to make the M48/M60 series of tanks? or perhaps some of the more obscure vehicles such as the Sgt York or the Chapparal?

On a modern note.. I am also eagerly awaiting the M-8 Buford you guys were working on.

it had a recoiless rifle that fired an overcaliber tactical nuke, ostensibly to break up massed soviet tank formations. the crew was supposed to dig a foxhole, fire the weapon and jump in, because the weapons max range was inside the warheads blast radius.. cold war nonsense at its best

Anyway i think it can be interesting idea to make even non-working (not firing) stuff like this - for instance Tomahawk launcher, just as target to destroy and defend.

1 thing i've always been looking forward to in OFP was the ability to have US Army MP's gaurding bases normally in safe conditions, rather than "normal infantry". It just pains me to see at the front gates to OFP bases normal infantry with AT or a MG gaurding the gates in some missions. So what I have in mind is a bit of a request since you're making a US Army HMMWV pack please include a MP HMMWV with a blue police light mounted on it, which i've seen on MP websites and in big black beautyful letters " MILITARY POLICE " on the it. Who know's maybe if you guys are working on a un-confirmed US Army soldier pack include several MP units 1 armed with MP5, 1 with M249, 1 with just a beretta, and 1 with a M16, and all of them having a standard berreta sidearm. And a nice big black cover on their left arm that says " MP " along with a olive drab subdued version
