FILE PHOTO 038:

2-1-04a.jpg

A personal photo of two of the marines stationed on the USS Ashland during peacekeeping in 1992:

2-1-04b.jpg

At approximetly 1330 hours, the USS Ashland entered territorial waters of a small volcanic Island the locals dubbed "Desert Island". The island is devoid of life, and ancient superstitions keep the locals away:

2-1-04c.jpg

Soon after entering the area, corpsman PFC Roger Wetherland spotted an odd unit hovering near hill 237. Radar returned no contacts:

2-1-04d.jpg

The only photograph taken during the encounter. It shows a large disc hovering silently about 700 meters from the ship:

2-1-04e.jpg

Very suddenly the object shot towards the ship, and stopped about 150 meters to the aft of the ship. Crew stared in disbelief at what they say:

2-1-04g.jpg

The USAF sent aircraft to investigate, when they entered the AO the object shot at amazing speed towards the Horizon and dissapeared. No investigation of the incedent is pending.

The truth is out there! ghostface.gif

Obviously faked. Marines didn't use MARPAT in '93. tounge_o.gif

Nicely done though.
