Mountain 0 Posted February 6, 2004 Well thats just the Helo portion of it, a Full MEU is: 16 LAV-25s 8 81mm Mortars 8 TOW systems 8 Javelin Missile Launchers 15 AAV7s 6 155mm Howitzers 4 M-1A1 Main Battle Tanks 63 HMMWVs 12 CH-46E Medium Lift Assault Helicopters 4 CH-53E Heavy Lift Assault Transport Helicopters 3 UH-1N Transport Helicopters and 4 AH-1W Attack Helicopters 6 AV-8B Harrier Jets 2 KC-130s and it is built around a Reinforced Marine Battalion Landing Team. All in all its about 2200 men & women, not including the ARG it is a part of and it's the smallest component of the MAGTF. As for the Phrogs, the 46's are the Medium lift helos and can carry a cargo of about 5,000 pounds whereas the 53's can carry about 8,000lbs. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

nubbin 0 Posted February 8, 2004 just a suggestion and I have no idea if this will change anything. But I am using the tac events file from the MAP that the ECP team modified. I used to get errors like this, but recently I haven't . I dont' know if its coincidence but it might be worth trying. I know the new WGL tac events file was giving me grief. Landwarrior87 0 Posted February 11, 2004 well with all the new addons coming out now.. personally i wouldnt put anything new up against something BIS made.. thier just not on the same level.. try downloading the new Russian APC pack... great textures and just wayy better than BIS's.. see how those go up against m16's and saws. dont change this great pack to make even with old BIS addons no one hardly ever uses anymore. munger 25 Posted February 13, 2004 Yup. Aaron Ash released three smaller packs: realistic M1A1/T80, realistic M2A2/BMP2 and realistic AH-64/AH-1. If you have the c8x_russjam.pbo and c8x_usmcjam.pbo installed from the JAM compatablility addon, you can arm your soldier with, say the JAM compatible M16A4 with: removeAllWeapons this; this addWeapon "C8XJAMM16"; this addMagazine "JAM_W556_30BHDmag" Digital Grenade's online classnames guide shows the JAM compatible classname as JAM_W556_30Bmag. Sure enough, if you arm your Marine with the following line, you'll have a JAM 5.56 clip in your M16 when you start, and can pick up the same magazine from JAM men in the mission: removeAllWeapons this; this addWeapon "C8XJAMM16"; this addMagazine "JAM_W556_30Bmag" But, you can't pick up JAM -HD mags and you can't arm the C8XJAMM16JAM with the corresponding -HD mag, so this line just leaves you with an empty M16A4: removeAllWeapons this; this addWeapon "C8XJAMM16"; this addMagazine "JAM_W556_30BHDmag" Maybe there's another classname for a HD compatible C8XJAMM16JAM, but it's not listed on DG's classnames guide. Can the MAP guys comment? Any plans to add JAM -HD compatibilty, or am I just being dense? Snipers?? more Force Recon and Spetz Nats?? not that this pack is getting boring.. just some things to spice it up would be better. The Variety of weapons are just unbelivable.. i still dont think ive played with every single variant... just some things i really want in an update.. (Grenadiers/FireTeam Leaders/Squad Leaders w/ Helmets). keep the other ones.. just add another with the marpat helmet..just kinda unreal to be doing all this action fighting in a "HAT" Force Recon Sniper weapon would be nice.. like a .50 with a big ass high tec scope.. and please please please force recon in desert textures.. as well for the Spetz Natz.. after that, EVERYTHING is perfect, oh yeah and fix the desert medic. just odd.. entire desert marpat team with a woodland medic. (desert one doesnt work) which brings me to perhaps a Force Recon medic? i know im sounding so demanding and ungrateful.. im not its just this is my favorite pack out of the entire OFP... now that were out of the Delta/Ranger era this has been very exciting... lookin forward to this booster pack whenever you get it out..
