Tovarish 0 Posted December 3, 2004 You mean like this?Plenty of those here too.... Winter fur? doubt it - the same day I took that pic there were some black squirrels on the same tree. *edit* and from what I recall, they weren't too happy with "whitey's" presence
ralphwiggum 6 Posted December 3, 2004 This is an unacceptable standard of existence. The UN should do something about this... (New charity program: "Everyone Deserves a picinic on the beach") Tell me about it, I'm a Cuban living north of the 49th parallel....it's goddamned unnatural! I used to swim in the ocean every other day when I was a kid. come to southern california. don't have to worry about Cuban politics, just beautiful beach. and i'd even pay for your sister's flight here. Â anyways, on topic,
Ares1978 0 Posted December 3, 2004 Actually in Europe I remember at least half the squrrels being redish/brown, never seen even one like that here. Like this? Â (crappy quality, sorry) There should be only one type of squirrel in Europe. But Britain has a population of those imported grey bastards. Â Of course, I could be wrong. -------- denoir, no they don't. I don't think that's the native squirrel. The color is about right, but not the body.

da12thMonkey 1943 Posted December 3, 2004 Britain has a population of those imported grey bastards. Â Indeed, the only places you're likely to see a red squirrel in the UK is in the Scottish Highlands or on some of the little coastal islands we have; I know there's a big colony of them on Brownsey Island off the coast of Dorset, just south of Poole. Probably the only place you're certain to see one in the UK.

killagee 0 Posted December 4, 2004 Britain has a population of those imported grey bastards. You ought to see the devestation caused in NZ by the bloody rabbits and Gorse the british bought over, and the possum from Ozland. Very depressing...

denoir 0 Posted December 8, 2004 Not bad. The D70 is a very nice piece of hardware. Incidentally, I was thinking about buying one myself - either an D70, a Canon EOS 300D or a Konica Minolta Dynax 7D. In the end however I decided that all the DSLR cameras were 1) too big for me and 2) to good for my skills/level of interest. So in the end, I ordered a K-M Dimage Z3 instead - I should be getting it later today. I'll post some test shots once I get it.
