ruff 102 Posted August 26, 2003 EDIT: I wont get into the Canada vs. USA thing as I almost did.Well, except for how our snipers are better. Â yeah currently the canadians hold the curent record of the longest sniper kill in the war in afgahanistan i think 2100m not so sure though cant wait to get cable back to dl those awsome troops im capped at the moment
Andraz 2 Posted August 26, 2003 In Afghanistan on the 8th of August 2002, a Canadian sniper took the longest confirmed kill on a human- 2430m! Rifle was a McMillan Tac-50, 5-shot bolt-action sniper rifle in .50 BMG cal. Ammo is supposed to have been 686gr M33 Ball.

9mm 0 Posted August 26, 2003 Great news, i was thinking that Operation Northstar was pretty dead. I'm glad i was wrong Anyway speaking of JAM, well compatibility would be nice. JAM mags don't even have to be default ones, just let the weapons accep them, not a big deal i guess.
Koolkid101 0 Posted August 26, 2003 Missing CAF_Gwagen for the mission?? What is that??

Lupus-WD- 0 Posted August 26, 2003 Nice addons, but i have noticed a little problem... shadows are missing... Will the UN soldier have the (re)movable helmets and goggles in future updates ?
One 0 Posted August 26, 2003 i have to say to the ONS team that its time for an update on the weapon pack.........no offence or anything to the ons team, but the weapons are quite lacking i really love the units and the sounds tho. dont know why you changed the boonie hat tho being canadian myself its great to be able to play as our disgracerfull army in game
343rdBadger 0 Posted August 26, 2003 I noticed when you get into vechicles...your goggle frames are showing in front of your face..only way to get rid of it is to take helmut off then get into the vechicle again...anyone else seeing this??
Powerslide 0 Posted August 26, 2003 First off JAM is a possibilty in the future, I need to talk to Suchey. Second of all the shadows are buggered yes, I will repair them on the next update. Also I don't know what you want for a weapons pack, I think it's pretty darn good. What do you want, more guns? As far as the goggle showing I talked to Matthijs about this and he said so far there is no fix for it.
One 0 Posted August 26, 2003 im not pushing begging or even asking - but better looking weapon model/textures would go along nice with awsome looking units Matthijs is updating his diemaco pack, and im guessing you are already on good terms with him - he says he needs help on the pack so maybe ons could team up with kmarns to make a great weapon pack.............just a suggestion
Antichrist 0 Posted August 27, 2003 As a suggestion: I reckon UN soldiers should be put on Civilian or resistance side, cause it doesn't really make sense to have them on the west with the rest of the troops.
CanadianTerror 0 Posted August 27, 2003 If you put em on the civilian side, no one will shoot at them. Why does it not make sense to have them as West?
Antichrist 0 Posted August 27, 2003 If you put em on the civilian side, no one will shoot at them. Why does it not make sense to have them as West? Cause they supposed to be peacekeeping force and need to have the ability to be friendly to both sides!
blackdog~ 0 Posted August 27, 2003 If they are resistance (haven't tried them), then you can click the little sun in the mission editor and set the resistance to friendly to no one, everyone, west, or east.
Guest DKM-jaguar Posted August 27, 2003 I havent downloaded these yet, but they look nice and operation northstar has released nice stuff in the past, well done. As to the JAM issue, I dont think it has any impact on the quality of addons and no one said that all addon makers had to use it. You really shouldn't complain when addon makers dont use it, but be happy when they do, after all, JAM is a privilage and not a standard feature on all addons.
