CHOPPER animate ["switch4Clight",1];Chopper exec "\bas_mah60\fx\cabin.sqs" BAS would like to present the first version of the Blackhawk addon, the first version of JAM and the update to the SOAR. We hope the delays have been worth it. JAM In terms of the gaming experience the most important addon in this release is the JAM_Magazines addon. JAM is an initiative between various mods to create a Joint Ammo and Magazines addon. It's purpose is to enable a player to use units and weapons from different authors and mods while retaining the ability to share magazines eg a M4 from BAS would use the same magazine as a M4 from DigitalGrenades Mod. JAM_Magazines contains magazines for the more commonly used weapons such as the M4 and the AK74 (over 40 different magazine types at last count). It is of course impossible to code for every weapon so only the ones most likely to require the sharing of magazines between different soldiers of different addons have been included. These magazines and ammo definitions have been coded to give a realistic balance to the performance of the handheld weapons in OFP. Some of the features of JAM include: * New weapon sounds * New environmental (eg ricochets) sounds * New tracers * New Recoils * Revised damage levels * Air Targeting AT4 and RPG7 * Personnel Targeting AT4 and RPG7 * Obscuring Smoke Grenades that hide you from the AI * High Dispersion versions of the Magazines * A range of recoded BIS weapons using JAM (do not affect Default BIS weapons) * BIS soldiers recoded to use JAM weapons (do not affect Default BIS units) JAM does not cover vehicle based weapons. While these new values\sounds will not be perfect, we feel they are a good start. Constructive feedback is welcome and in the near future, facilities will be provided to allow such feedback. BAS and DigitalGrenade will providing all future addons with JAM compatibility. All other mods/addon makers are invited to use them too. Detailed notes (Readme-JAM_V1.PDF) have been provided on how to implement JAM into missions and addons. BLACKHAWKS This addon includes the: * MH-60K (top of the line spec op blackhawk) * MH-60L (in urban op configuration) * A/MH-60L DAP (Close in fire support) * UH-60L (Utility Blackhawk) * Wrecked UH-60L Most of these helicopters come with a range of features including: * Countermeasures * Rotordust (customisable) * FastRoping * Rapid Insertions * Ladder pickups * Cabin Lighting It is strongly recommended that you read the Readme-BAS_Blackhawks1_SOAR2.PDF document for full information on all the features. SOAR New helicopter pilots in woodland and desert uniforms. The original soar pilot has been updated with new textures but retains the MP5 for compatibility reasons. The newer units, using the M4 with Eotech Holo sight are currently only used in the Blackhawk addon, existing BAS helicopters (LB's, MH47, Kiowas) will still use the MP5 version. A little extra: BAS_Repair addon. This small addon provides a simple way for mission makers to make a helicopter go to a location and repair itself, Just place the H on the map and copy in the relevant init line (see readme file). Once the helicopter reaches a certain user-defined damage level it will disengage, fly to the RepairH, repair itself, then reengage. -------------------- Download sites: BAS Download Page OFP.AT OFPEC.
