FatNinjaKid 0 Posted June 29, 2003 I'm 26. And i have been hooked on flashpoint for 2 years. Though I must say other games do not have that effect on me. GTA3, VC and all these hyped up cpu-melters to me just look plain silly. Maybe I am really too old computer games... On the other hand I guess I would play more on my computer if there were any other realistic games like flashpoint. Does anyone remember "M.U.L.E." or "pirates"? why don't make stuff like that anymore?

Architekt 0 Posted June 30, 2003 Does anyone remember "M.U.L.E." or "pirates"? why don't make stuff like that anymore? Sid meier is currently working on a new version of pirates at the moment. I'm 24 and I've only really started playing Flaspoint again since I upgraded my PC to a 3ghz P4. I don't really have to worry about immature opponents yet. (mine are all made of 1s and 0s) One day I'll get Broadband

ZIKAN 0 Posted July 1, 2003 I am 30 years young Had the game since it was released. Having been a Brit squaddie myself and a keen military enthusiast I was immediately drawn to OFP. It was a revelation when it was released. The community of OFP I feel is a more mature one in general than any other FPS/Mil sim out there. I like to play other games too (DFBHD,MOH, BF1942,RS,GR) but OFP has a class and style, which will only be matched or beaten by OFP2's release...

Viriato 0 Posted July 1, 2003 I am also one of the oldies (take a look at my registration date), i am 27, the biggest treat for my OPF addiction was my girlfriend, but i was quickest and turned her on to a DIABLO 2 addict. Now, in my home, at certain hours you will hears screams and steel sounds coming from a room, and gunfire and explosions coming from another, isnt love a marvelous thing? soul_assassin 1750 Posted July 1, 2003 Well umm...i guess it the confession thread so here goes... I'm just 16, and really been with OFP since first demo release. Never even bought OFP as a matter of fact, borrowed from a friend and never gave it back i was so compelled to have it i couldnt let it go, when my own finances we'rent enough. When i actually started earning the game was gone from the shops so ditto. From the start was involved in minor game editing, scripting, sounds etc, then moved on into modeling and coding. Never was a fan of MP actually but when i do go for some action I must admit i can kick some butt But that is not my OFP purpose, I really like working on new stuff so have been real busy with RHS lately. Btw, next year im applying to Aerospace Engeneering in TU Delft in Holland, so my ofp addiction will have to go to background mode.
colonel_klink 0 Posted July 1, 2003 Past the half century mark last year so I presume its a downhill run from now on. Played the demo of OFP and bought too copies of the game when it was released (one for my son). Couldn't get the gist of the setpos thingees that people were doing, but when O2 was released I found something I was interested in doing. First attempts at addon making were fair.. not much has improved since, but still sticking with it as I enjoy a challenge. Militarily (good word that one) I spent 16 months in the New Zealand Army. Spent a short time in Vietnam in the 70s, and now take my frustrations out on pixellated enemies in OFP. I have seen some incredible work come from this community and I must say the quality is outstanding. looking forward to OFP2.. but it depends on what will happen first.. my impending old age or OFP2's release (just kidding BIS )
@cero 0 Posted July 2, 2003 I'm 32, been in the army aswell, national service actually, nothing really major, but I enjoyed some of it. I love OFP, but I omly played multiplayer a cuple of times due to the limitated power of my pc, now I had builded a big pc with a nice G card and I'm hopping to be able to play more often with mature players  I used to be in the DF Land Warrior servers all the time and got to play with to many inmature people that espoil the game, so I don't want to repeat the bad experience. I know that the way to play this game in multiplayer is to follow the leader and stik to the plan as long the plan is working, that's what I like, a organiced playing, like reall life combat, using tactics and putting the skills to good use. EDIT: Colonell-Klink, I though you would be a lot yonger

I know, I got the 3 Delta games, and my favorite is 2 aswell, tall grass, more realism, not like OFP ofcourse But the easyest to play online of the last two is Land Warrior, I normally get alot of lagg on DFII. Colonell-Klink, lol on that one. Â
